Vent! Why are people calling us now?

I swear I have had like 20 people, all who are invited to the wedding mind you, wanting to "just hang out" with me or/and my FI. Damn it people FI is gone up until 3 days before the wedding! He will only be home for like 4 days, and I need him to help me with things, not sit around and hang out! I have only a month left!  You couldn't of called us last month or the month before when I didn't have as much to do!! I swear people have no idea what goes into a wedding!! 
I'm out.

    Ugh, sorry to hear you have to deal with this. I wish we could send guests an etiquette book with their invitations!

    I'm sure a lot of them may not realize how swamped you are and they probably just have the best of intentions.

    I agree with Julie.  I'm sure they have the best of intentions.  Maybe they can come over and help with wedding stuff. :)

    I didn't want to get stressed/overwhelmed so I made sure I spaced all my stuff out.  It worked perfectly.  Heck, the last few days before the wedding, I lounged around and did nothing!! LOL.

    It sucks having so many friends sometimes doesn't it?! lol  I'm sure they don't mean any harm and the others are right they probably don't understand how much stuff you guys have going on over the next month. Especially if your FI is only going to be around for a few days beforehand. It's ok to politely tell them that it's very nice of them to want to hang out but that you've got committments and things to get done and that you can't guarantee that it will happen. I'm sure they'll understand.

    You guys are so f*ing sweet! Maybe some of it will rub off on me. I know sometimes i really just need to relax. I just get angry when people get angry at me, when I say I can't do something. 
    I like most of my friends, never do anything small. Especially my wedding, they should know that! Haha thanks for letting me vent!

    OP - people are calling you because they are friends with you/FI and want to see you guys. Especially if FI hasn't been around, they miss him too!

    Just say, sorry can't tonight, we'll see you at the wedding.
