Green Bay Vendors

We finally decided on what city we're getting married in, now we just need to look at a few vendors. If anyone was married in Green Bay can you tell me what vendors you used?

These are some vendors I have been looking at.
Can anyone tell me about:
Sash and Bow or Seize the Day as a planner
Buds 'n Bloom
Aesthetic Photography
Bernies, Bake My Day or The Tasteful Cake (I want to so a cupcake tower with a small 2 tier cake on top)

Thanks!

not sure of the day of coordinator you are asking about but I am using Jamie with All Dressed Up - she had been great so far and affordable. Her website is www.alldressedupep.com

where are you getting married (venue) she has done a lot around the state

if I hear anything on other vendors i'll let you know but I am a DePere/Green Bay bride in Sept 2011 too

We haven't picked a venue yet, I've been searching like crazy. I don't know if I'm being too picky. It's hard because I'm living in Michigan and I'm communicating through e-mail and looking at pictures.

    Where are you getting married?

I'm looking at the KI Convention Center, the Wiedner, and Lambeau Field Atrium there are others I can't think of right now.

    These are our vendors...and info..

Bernies: Love them! Best tasting cakes! Most affordable for the area bakers.

We went with an Appleton florist who delivers to Green Bay... Branching Out & Co...love them too..very creative..and affordable..They are all young and have neat ideas.

Weidner and Lambeau would be very unique! My opinion, I would say no to KI center.....it is very plain and the carpet is hideous...purple with bright spots on it. I am doing our reception at Riverside Ballroom, it is very pretty. Other good ones Are the Ravine, Rock Garden is pretty and has AMAZING food!
I don't know what you are looking for for a planner/ day coordinator, but I have a friend that is crazy about weddings, and she had seriously talked about starting some sort of business. She is very creative and went to school for design. If you are interested in talking to her I can give you her facebook name! She lives in Green Bay.
I live a few hours away too, so I am planning from a distance as well!

Does the Rock Garden have a website? I tried searching and came up with the Comfort Suites Rock Garden Convention Center, is that the one you were referring to? I also saw something about a supper club but no official web site.

    Thanks for the ideas!

I dont believe they have much for a website...when we were looking, we had to call for info from there. I believe price wise it falls on the higher end of average..but within $1-$2 per plate of some of the cheaper average area places...so if the location is right and you like the setting..it's a good choice,

I've been to a few weddings there.. they were nice..

KatieD212: would love to get in touch with your friend who is into coordinating weddings! Wedding date set for 8.6.11 in GB but I live in new york city. Definitely could use some eyes on the ground to help me out in addition to all the flights home I'm going to have to take!

Sounds like KI Convention center is not a good idea eh? I was also thinking maybe Heritage Hill or Gardens of the Fox Cities in Appleton. Any other ideas are welcome!

Here is a link that will take you to the page with more info about their weddings. There are no prices but you can see what their different menu options.

    http://www.comfortsuitesgb.com/Green-Bay-Conference-Center/menus.html

Here is the link for their main site. 1951 is their restaurant, which may work if you have a small wedding. Otherwise I would recommend checking out the info for their conference center.

We are having our reception at Thornberry Creek. The venue is beautiful and very reasonable. Also, we have a block of rooms at the Radisson and paid $250 for an all night courtesy shuttle for our guests. The ceremony is going to be at the Green Bay Botanical Gardens. Good luck!

All great vendors. Sash and Bow is wonderful. Buds n Bloom does amazing work and the Tasteful Cake is fantastic!
I agree about KI- not the best location...Have you looked into Heritage Hill?

You all are helping me tons! I don't know of many vendors for flowers in the Green Bay area and you've given me some ideas. We are having our reception at Stadium View. They had the best most affordable wedding package and then got room blocks at Cambria Suites. Does anyone know of a good and affordable photographer??

aulika: My photographer is Joe Hang. He takes awesome pictures, but you have to like his style, it is very different! He charges $1500 all day, which is a steal!

I also have a friend I graduated highschool with that is doing photography right now...and I must say, he rocks! His business is Glitz Photography...I believe you pay about the norm for his packages, but he throws in a bunch of extra little things. DEFINETLY check him out!

Luckily, I have many family members that are in the wedding business so I am really not dealing with a whole lot of vendors. I have a DJ, Cake, Florist, and rehearsal dinner cook all ready for me! But I can say for flowers, My friend had Petal Pushers, and her bouquets were awesome....I dont know how much she paid for them....

I took a few pictures while searching for my reception site...here's a Rock Garden Room:

    Here's The Ravine:

Riverside Ballroom, where My reception will be:

I thought I had one of the carpet at KI as well, but I can't find it :( Oh well. Hope this helps you out of town girls at least a little bit!

Thanks! I will check him out. I know someone who had Pedal Pushers and said they were quite expensive but I'm going to look into them because I've heard nothing but great things

I will be working with Karie from Grapvine and Ivy for my wedding in December -- so far she's been GREAT and will work with your budget.

Our photographer will be Adam Shea -- good price, packge is pretty inlclusive and he seems great!

    Good luck!!

Correct me if I am wrong but I think the FI's parents nixed Heritage Hill becuase they were way over priced from some others and I think you had to pay a 300 person min regardless (we were not planning on having 300)

nkryger....I just booked my bridal party at A Do 4 U on University Ave....they are SUPER reasonable, very friendly! It's $40 for the bride, and $35 for bridesmaids (And it is NOT like a cheap cost cutters/mastercuts place, it's nice) Check them out!!
