S/O standing in line

You're standing in line at checkout with your cart. How close are you to the person in front of you?

    For Kuus

How close are you or your cart to the person in front of you?

Less than 6 inches. I like to feel their hair in my face
    6-12 inches away, of course
12-24 inches away. I like a little personal space
More than 24 inches away, but close enough that people know I'm standing in line
I just stuff as much in my purse/pockets as possible and walk out. Screw lines and paying
I grow my own food and weave my own clothes. Anyone who doesn't is a bunny hater.

Probably around 12 inches. I like to keep it close, because it is a line, but I'm not gonna get all up in their butt kool-aid with my cart bumper, either.

I said more than 24 inches.  I keep the cart between me and the person in front of me, and make sure the cart isn't invading that person's space.

More than 24 inches.  Even 24 (only 2 feet?!) is a bit close, and when someone gets that close in line behind me, I fart.

I voted more than 24 inches, though not by much. I absolutely hate it when I can feel the static from the cart behind me. Dude, unless you want to buy me dinner get off my ass!

Also something I hate: when I'm standing there trying to pay and the guy behind me is all but on top of me with his cart behind him waiting for me to move. I will stare them down until they back up, because pin numbers are private and when you're towering over me like a loon I"m not going to type it in.

If people start crowding me, I'll usually step back further in line, just to be annoying.

i said 24" or more - i don't like people in my space, so i try to have the same respect for others. I've already asked people to back up if they get too close to me.

I had some jackass start to put things on the belt while I stil had half a cart to unload.  Major props to the checker for speaking up and telling the jerk to wait.  I love my grocery store.
