My vent is that I feel awful. I'm not really dizzy anymore and sometimes when I stand up my vision gets blurry like I got up too fast. Not as much as before. This morning I took my vitamins and antibiotics I'm on and had an apple for breakfast. Well I puked on the way to school and still feel awful. Missed my first class but need to go in for the next 2. Ugh ready for the weekend.
I am sick of waiting for the wedding. I want time to fly by. I know I should just enjoy being engaged... but I am SOOO ready to enjoy being married!!!!

I know Chelsea I'm so excited. When we get married it will be about a 2 year engagement. I'm so ready to be married! I'm even excited for the little things like signing things with my new last name and whatnot lol.
If I'm not better by tomorrow I'm gonna call the doctor. I've thrown up before when I took my medicine on an empty stomach so I'm hoping that's all it was today
It's officially March and only 1 of 4 bridesmaids have even ordered their dress. We are all grown adults and they know deadlines, so I'm not reminding anyone. No dress, just be a guest. Simple. End of vent.
I want the wedding here so badly so I can marry my best friend, get out of house and start really being treated like an adult.
LLP, I can relate with the BM dresses. I know I've been super lax and calm about it all because they've been coming in fast but I'd really appreciate it if the last 2 would order theirs soon.

Feel better Zims! Not fun to be sick while doing all this planning!
Two vents (one WR, one NWR):
#1 - I invited FMIL to get her hair done with my mom & my bridal party & me on the wedding day, thinking it would be special for her to be involved in getting ready for the wedding with "the girls". I emailed her to confirm that she is ok with the hairdresser I have booked and her response was "yes, and please book my friend Trish (who I have never met) in with us as well...she wants to get her hair done too". Well why don't I just invite all of the female guests (all 20 of them!) to get hair/makeup done with us!!!
#2 - NWR - just mainly feeling very discouraged about work & school. I hate my job (but it pays so well and gives me the flexibility to do school work) and I take 3 classes a term at night school (which is more work than I physically have time to do)...just feels like it's going to take me forever to get my degree...at this rate, I won't be done for another 4 years! Doesn't make me feel any better that my FBIL just got a $130 K per year job and he never went to university (mind you it isn't the type of work I'd want to do!)
June 2012 August Siggy Challenge: Favourite Pro Pic (I couldn't choose just one!)
I have a cold and FI gave it to me and it sucks! I'm mad at him for it, especially since he was such a baby when sick and I had to take care of him and now he's basically telling me to suck it up. He better make me some soup or something.
I'm also really getting annoyed with FI for not booking the honeymoon. We want to go to Jamaica, and I'd like to stay in Montego Bay (to avoid a long ride to the resort) at an all inclusive (preferably adults only). Just pick something and book it because we both need passports. Ugh.

i don't think I could handle a two year engagement! 7 1/2 months is long enough for me! FI wouldn't mind longer, but he's already wore out by all my wedding talk!
I have a few vents (I've been missing this thread the last few weeks!)
First vent: FI is sooo resistant to doing any chores. I do laundry for both of us, cook dinner for both of us every night, and on weekends I tidy up the living room, vacuum, swiffer the kitchen/bathroom, and clean the bathroom. I want him to take out the trash (and refill the bag after, which seems impossible), and wash the dishes. In FI's family his mother does EVERYTHING. None of the kids had chores besides cleaning their room, and if they did chores, they got paid for them. I think this is the problem. We had a huge blowout about the dishes last night, FI thinks its only his job to do dishes that both of us or just he used. I told him that this isn't college, we are a household now and I do stuff for both of us so why can't he. The other thing that he does that drives me nuts is he'll do half of them and then leave half for the next day. THEY JUST PILE UP WHEN THIS HAPPENS! Finish the freaking job!!
Second Vent: I have two MOHs, who were both ecstatic to be MOHs; one is my sister, and one is my best friend. I know MOHs & bridesmaids are in no way obligated to help in the planning, but both of them were really excited to do it together. Well now they're all working on planning the shower/bachelorette, my sister tells me that the other MOH basically never adds anything to their group discussions, except for when they talk about money, in which case this MOH pipes up that we shouldn't do this or that because it will cost too much. SHE JUST BOUGHT HERSELF AN IPHONE when her other phone was perfectly fine. If it were any other friend I wouldn't care, her finances are her business, but I know that when she gets married she will be expecting everyone to go over the moon to give her the shower/bachelorette she wants. She acted this way for both her 16th and 21st so I doubt her wedding will be any different. And it doesn't bother me, I know being a bridesmaid is an expense, so I plan to save for her wedding when the time comes. Its just frustrating because when she talks to me she acts like shes an active part of the planning, but my sister will showwww me the thread that all the bridesmaids discuss things on, and she doesn't say anything!
Third Vent: My invitations. Why can't they just come together? I thought it was all going fine and then the printing people we're using tell me they can't print on pre-cut card-stock (good thing I hadn't ordered it yet). They originally didn't seem to have a problem with it, unless the guy is just an idiot and didn't realize that invitations wouldn't be 8.5 x 11 pieces of paper! Now I'm waiting for my invitation pdf person to tell me if she can fit multiple inserts on one page, so we can still do this how we want. All I'm trying to do is save some money! Is it that hard to spend less than $1k on invites?!?!?
I don't have too much to vent about today. I just have a lot of stuff to get done. Not only wedding things, but I'm still trying to clean out my basement and the closets that have been stacked with stuff. My house is the house I grew up in and there's been stuff stored for years instead of dealt with. Luckily, spring break is in two weeks! However, this year will only be 1 week. We had two last week. Oh well could be worse.
I am with Zims. I am SO sick of being sick. I had my tonsils out and sinus surgery on Feb 2. I FINALLY started feeling better after 3 1/2 weeks and then BOOM. I get a horrible sinus infection and bronchitis. I am stuffy, drainage-y (haha i made that word up), congested, feel like an elephant is standing on my chest, and I can't stop coughing. It's been a MONTH of feeling like crap. I am OVER it. UUUGH.
309 Invited so far! 142 Are ready to party! 125 Will be missing out! 42 Are driving me crazy!
I took my car in for an oil change yesterday and of course the mechanic comes back with you need xyz done. Actually his words where in a loud voice "Your car is dangerous!!" The person behind me goes "Oh!" Then he proceeds to tell me that he needs to check the other person out and then he'll explain. I'm thinking thanks buddy for that heartattack oh and the extra suspense is just wonderful.
Total cost of work almost $600 but thankfully after calling around for a better quote I found someone who can do it for less! I was almost in tears ..could this really have happened at a worse time!! Then I started thinking about all of the good things going on WR and NWR and i was like screw it I'm not letting this get to me!

I think they can, but the bridesmaids haven't even decided on what dresses they want! I gave them the choice of their own dress within certain parameters (length, fabric, color). All they had to do was let me know before they order so I can make sure each BM has a different dress. My friend actually called me today to say her dress came in today.
It's funny; the only person who has their dress is not related to me ;) The other 3 consist of my sister and 2 cousins.
This is the stupidest vent, but my neighbors in my apartment building are annoying me. There are five apts on our floor, one is unoccupied. The other three tenants always leave their opened umbrellas in the hallway to dry, and our hallway is only about as wide as the umbrella! Don't put your personal crap in a public area! And one of them puts it in front of the fire door. Which I realize isn't going to impede anyone from exiting but seriously. Courtesy people!
Also all my neighbors are older women (as in 65 and older) and they stand in the hallway and gossip forever and you can hear everything. Go into your own damn apt and socialize you Nosy Nellies!
Things are getting entirely too hectic at work; one of the analysts quit last week, so we're down an analyst and work is picking up.
Instead of hiring an analyst that can already do the analysis, they are going to hire someone new into the tech position and then promote the current tech. Training for the tech job is like a week, maybe two. Training to do the analysis is at least a month before you can analyze on your somewhat independently, then another couple months before you can actually analyze at a fairly productive rate. Two other analysts will be on vacation next week, which was fine when we were fully staffed. Then this morning, another analyst got into a pretty bad car accident this morning (T&P to her for sure). Her car is totaled, broke her right foot and something is wrong with her hip but she doesn't know what yet. She lives alone so she thinks she will probably be out of work for a little while because she will not be able to drive.
It was a very heavy workload for seven analysts to manage, next week we'll be down to three. And I feel like my boss is in la-la land about it all ... ohh no worries, no big deal ,we'll get the work done, there isn't that much to do...
I love my bridesmaid but, I wish they could get along. I asked my child hood friend to spearhead the shower since my sixteen year old sister (MOH) is too young. And there Drama keeps spearing its ugly head. They contact my FI about the drama. And he tells me to see what I want them to do. He knows to contact my mom since she does the phone confrence that my sister can not make.

The storm isn't bad enough near my school for things to be shut down, but I'm 60 miles away and can't even make it to the roads that ARE safe to drive. I busted my BUTT for a presentation today, and to finish the readings on time, and now I can't even make it in. I'm freaking out because I have no idea what the prof's response is going to be; this 5 minute presentation is worth 15% of my grade. I'm trying to rationalize that having a base grade of 85 in a class is far better than ending up in a ditch today, but I know if she says this is my only chance I'm going to end up crying it out. Aside from my research classes, this is the first class I've taken so far that has direct application to my interests in theory and I'm afraid it's going to look awful when I go to apply for doctoral programs

I'm ready for the wedding to be here. For the wedding to be here means we then get to start the process of hopefully buying a place before the end of the year and once that is all said and done I can begin to look for a different job that is closer to what I really want to be doing. For the record I still don't know what I really want to be doing but I definitely know I want it to involve kids or teens in some way.

They contact my FI about the drama. And he tells me to see what I want them to do. He knows to contact my mom since she does the phone confrence that my sister can not make.
CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG.
[QUOTE]I found out yesterday I have to go on a business trip to Texas next Monday thru Wednesday. I hate our San Antonio trips. On top of that FI is OOT this week for work and gets in late Saturday so we only have a day and half together people I have to leave.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Thursday Thread : I think they can, but the bridesmaids haven't even decided on what dresses they want!

Wow that's not fun. Luckily my 3 sisters are my bridesmaids and we all went together and my mom bought them. She still has to pay the balance and I feel bad because she needs to get dental work done and the insurance won't cover it 100%

UGH!

I wish. You can only go to the Alamo so many times. I also get tired of the River Walk.

Megan, are you starting part-time at a new job or just dropping to PT at your current one?

Haha I understand that. FI was at Ft. Sam Houston last year and I went down for 2 weeks while he was in the hospital. His dad and sister only stayed a couple days because they couldn't miss work and school. FMIL was too scared (and too slow) when she drove in the city so we were mostly on base
