I hope it's ok to post this here... Long story short, FI got laid off in April and has been unable to secure decent paying full time employment. A month ago, we received a letter that he was eligible for extended unemployment, and we would be fine. Well, overnight we find out that he is actually NOT eligible, and we no longer have any unemployment money coming.
So, living on my income alone, we are borrowing from our wedding account to live, and are trying to rent our house. We actually rent there now, but it will be available January 1st. It's in Canton, 1 block off the sqaure, end unit, 2 entrances, 2br, 1.5ba with jacuzzi tub, roofdeck, office, basement and tons of storage, pet friendly, gigantic kitchen, hardwood floors downstairs and new carpet upstairs. $1700/month, which is super cheap for that area.
