So while still dealing with FI facing the high possibility of being fired from his job my brother called me today to tell me he won't be able to be a groomsman and be at the wedding at all. He enlisted in the army and has to report for bootcamp at the end of March. So not cool!! I'm proud of him for enlisting but it really stinks that he won't be there. He feels awful about it but I don't think there is anything we can really do.

    Thats a hard one..... I understand the dilemna.  I am proud of my FI being in the Army, but it sure does put a HUGE wrench in the planning!   Sorry to hear he will miss the wedding :(

    It stinks and I won't even be able to call him the day of since he isn't allowed a cell phone during boot camp. I can only write him letters. Big stink on that one! I think my sis is more upset about it than me. I'm really sad but she is actually more on the angry side. It's really because he could of waited to enlist until closer to the wedding. It's only 3 months away. But when he talked to them they said he wouldn't have to report in until August. FI says they say anything to get you to sign up. It sucks but really nothing we can do about it at this point. He will have graduation Memorial Day weekend so we are hoping to drive up to it (in Georgia). Depends on where FI is working at the time and if he can get the weekend off. Hopefully!
