moh and best man in same color

Okay my colors are eggplant purple and gold and i want my moh to be in gold and bridesmaids in the purple with all the same dress...should i have the best man wear a gold vest and/or gold tie
...opinions??

    I think it's best to ask your FI what he would like the GM to wear.

    It's a common opinion the colored/matchy matchy vests & ties are a bit outdated and little too "Junior Prom"-ish.

    The wedding industry will lead you to believe that you have to use your wedding colors for everything.

    What color are the other guys ties going to be? I like the idea of maybe just having a differnt color tie than the vest.

    I went and looked at a friends online pictures because her colors were the exact same as yours with the MOH wearing a gold dress. The rest of the groomsmen were all in the same color and it looked good.
