Need Advice -- Engagement Pictures

Hello, Hello:  I've asked my Sister-In-Law who is an amatuer photographer to take our engagement pictures.  Question is, how much should I pay her, or should I pay her at  all?

    My friend just took some engagement photos for me to help build up her portfolio.  I'm planning to get her a $100 gc to JCrew, her favorite store.  I didn't invite her to my wedding, but I know she spent her whole afternoon taking photos with us and spent time editing the photos.  I think a small gift will make it seem less like a payment.

    My friend had another friend take her photos too- she and her FI cooked a nice dinner with a bottle of wine for her and her FI afterwards.

    I think a gift is a really nice gesture, and agree with PP. A gift card or nice dinner out should be a great way to say thanks.
