I read an article about how being "math-dumb" is something most people laugh about or think is totally acceptable. If you say, "Oh, haha, I'm really bad at math, sorry," you think people will understand. But no one would ever say, "Oh, haha, I'm functionally illiterate, sorry." Interesting indeed.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests. Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

I suck at math and hated when people would try to mess with me on the register. I can write 50 page anthropology reports, head up archaeological sites, or trouble shoot your computer, just don't make me do basic math.
I judge the person who slammed on her breaks the other day going down the mountain because apparently I was tailing her. I was a good 5 car lengths behind but we were both going 70 so when she slammed on her breaks randomly I had to swerve around her. As I passed her she honked at me and gave me the finger. Gee thanks lady, next time I'll try to go 6 car lengths behind you in rush hour traffic.
I hated when my company gave us the freaking 10/10 rule for customer service. "You have 10 seconds to greet any customer within 10 feet". I have never been yelled at more in my life. When people are running in on their lunch break to pick up dog food they do not want 5 associates asking if they need help.

Daf, someone asked you to excplain what AP was, and half of what you said was completely wrong. Own it.
And since you mentioned it, you don't know what gentle discipine is either. There are limits set with GD, there are typically none set with PP. You described AP (or was it gentile discipline?) as the kid being the boss of the household, which is 100% permissive parenting.
You hate kids, so I don't think anyone expects you to care to learn anything about parenting, but you're talking out of your ass right now.
um, no. i actually read quite a bit about parenting so that i know what i have to contend with out there. i've been reading the ap board since its inception and there have been countless posts on there about each of the things i mentioned. just because you've been a parent for 10 seconds doesn't mean you're more informed than i am.
ap is garbage. you're just being defensive because you're ONE OF THEM. barf.
I judge whoever makes the sales people at furniture stores follow you around. I'm not going to steal a dinning room set, I think you might notice that. Also, it's not going to be an impulse purchase. We looked at dinning room furniture for three years before we bought it. My FH told a sales person not to follow us, that we would look around and find him if we needed him. He told us the managers tell them to follow customers through out the store. FH got mad and left the store, we didn't buy from there.
I judge all the people that shop at my store and are too stupid to see all the signs telling them NOT to put the carts on the friggin escalator! There is a bright green door for where the carts go (yes, we have a cart escalator) and yet at least once a month, we get some idiot throwing their cart down the escalator, and it always flips over and throws everything out, and crashes in to whoever else is on the escalator. And then they act like it's our fault and they have no idea what happened, or that it never happened at all.
