Corporate Sales for a chocolate company [I think most of you know for who, haha]. Basically I work with businesses for their employee reward/recognition programs, customer appreciation programs, sales incentives, etc. Needless to say this is my busiest time of the year because most people recognize their customers/employees around the holidays. I am steady year round though with birthday programs, corporate events, etc.

Sooooo if any of your lovely companies use corporate gifts let me know, haha.

I work in TV advertising, but specialize in political ads. Yes, those annoying commercials that are on nonstop right before the election. Sorry!

I also waitress on Friday nights. Quitting the week before the wedding! LOL

Thanks. I acually have a backup BS in Psychology waiting to be used one day :) I attempted at my last job to do per diem work in the psych unit, but they wouldn't let me. I'll probably go back for my MS in Psych or Counseling, but that's after I've done HR for a while.

EV--when I first moved down here, the plan was to get a job as a legal secretary because I type 80wpm. My current boss's wife is one, and she was trying to get me into her firm, but then a temp position opened up here, so my boss decided to get me in here for the time being until a FT position opened up at his wife's office. It never did, and the position I was temp opened up FT.

I still think about switching sometimes. Working in radio is really cool and all... and I get to meet really cool people... but there's no money in radio.

Recovering - My old company said I should do something in the typing field, as I type about 90 wpm... I beat out my typing teacher in a speed comp. in 5th grade. She could only do 55 wpm to be fair though.

We had this typing program in the 5th grade where it taught us how to type properly... and I beat the program twice, when most kids didn't finish it once. My teacher was CONVINCED that I was cheating after the first time I beat it, so she put me on a keyboard that has a box over it so that I couldn't "cheat" and look at my hands.

I always love typing something and looking at someone else and continuing a conversation with another person. It always freaks them out.

My teacher did this with a manella folder! My pinky was too small to type the 0 but I still beat it a few times. I got in trouble for helping others. I want to say maves beakin typing, or something of the sort.

Wow, you guys have some mad typing skills! Although to be honest, being a legal secretary probably does not involve all that much typing. I mean, it's not like back in the day where lawyers would handwrite stuff and the secretaries would type it. I just draft on the computer. I don't think I've ever given my secretary something to type...

Delaware has a ton of corporate offices because of all of the big companies that are housed here... and a lot of them are old school. At least that's how my boss's wife's office was (she isn't there anymore). They ended up hiring someone through a typing placement agency.

When I graduated theatre school... my plan was to move here and then go back to law school. But my loans are exorbitant because I went to a private college, so adding law school loans on top of that gave me a panic attack.
