Her wedding is after mine, we'd only have problems with alterations since I'm short and a bit chubby.

This is the "pre-purchase" picture as my dress won't be here til June...I also had the top custom to be a halter. The lace on the top of the dress will continue up into the halter.

@sj - I didn't try on that dress, but I think I stood on (and almost killed myself tripping over) that same square step thing.

What I learned in the dressing room at AA: you actually can catch yourself when falling while wearing heels and a wedding gown, but you need to be really really willing to look like a goofball when doing so (a la Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down).

Did you shop for your dress in Portland?! Well, I guess many bridal shops have those step things. I did sort of flop off it while trying on another dress...they really should screw those suckers to the floor!

Nope, my awesome near catastrophe was in the AA at Southcenter. I was stepping back, didn't see the raised step thing (it doesn't help that they're camoflouged!), and nearly bit it big time. <div>

We usually post a pic, but to see everyone all together is fun!

Ugh - my FMIL completely fell over one of those things at I Do because it was the same as the floor, and they are too cramped in there, and she was trying to back up to let someone through (and they were kind of pushy). She has bad knees and hit her head on the mirror and it was really hard for her to get up! They're lucky she didn't get seriously hurt, I was really ticked at them.

ShiroNeko- Yes, that is JOVI it is the ivory color. Thanks, I love it too! Have you tried it on yet? Or just love it from the pictures? This dress is too big and not as tight as it should be- so hopefully it will create a better shape

This thread is full of win. All the dresses are gorgeous and seeing them makes me so excited to start looking for mine. But not until I slim down a lot more. The current target month for that is June.
