[QUOTE]Favorite Christmas song? The Grinch song because it brings back good memories and Oi to the World by The Vandals (also No Doubt's version). Embarrassing fact: The only Christmas music I do own is the Hanson Christmas cd. :-/ Least favorite Christmas song?: Any Josh Groban Christmas cover. My mom is obsessed and I feel like clawing at the windows when I drive with her during the holidays.

That is my favorite Christmas CD!

Back for just a few minutes and then have to run to an appt. But his name is Bo and he is 2, almost 3 years old. That picture is from last year because now he won't sit still long enough to take a picture of him. He's running around the yard right now with a big piece of turkey in his mouth. He will bury it in one spot and then dig it back up and move it. Quite entertaining!

  • That's awesome! Bo sounds like a riot. I want one!

  • He was a pound puppy. I got him when he was 6 weeks old. They told me he was a shepherd mix but as he has gotten bigger I think he looks more like a lab. He hates men, including my BF, and anyone with a hat or hood on. The only man he really likes is my dad and the guy at the kennel where he gets boarded.

  • He's super cute. He looks kind of like my pup.

Nice. I listen to it at least once every Christmas because it is pretty much the only Christmas music I like and it gets me in the Christmas mood.

I am open to suggestions though if anyone wants to recommend some tunes.

I don't think it even sounds like them. As for suggestions, I'm with you, this is usually the only CD I listen to at Christmas. Oh and the soundtrack to Love Actually. Loved that movie!

That makes me sad because it makes me thing he was abused or hurt by a man with a hat or hood on. But if you got him when he was 6 weeks old, was he born at the shelter, or just picked up as a little bitty guy? Poor baby. Good for you for adopting.

mww (or some combo of ms and ws, sorry I'm bad with letters, I promise it's nothing personal)--I'd love to recommend some Christmas music, but I can't. I hate Christmas music. Except Trans Siberian Orchestra.

  • So I tried to quote a response, J&K - but it's taking me to Palo Alto Weddings. Eff that noise.

Anyway nope - I graduated from UND in 2006, and by the end of 07 I was in Fargo already.

What a creeper! I had a guy actually feel me up in a bar in Fargo a few months ago - right in front of Ben, and right after he noticed my engagement ring and asked us all kinds of questions about our relationship and wedding. It was GROSS. I was swatting his hand away from my thigh for what seemed like an eternity - nasty.

Gross, AATB. Maybe he wanted a threesome.

Lol! His face kinda looks like "Oh crap, I'm in trouble!" But he is very cute!

JK- I think he may have been born at the pound or at least dropped off there very early. There was a whole litter of pups there, and they all were jumping up at the gate when we walked in, except Bo. He was sitting in the back with his head hanging down and was just the most pathetic looking thing. Broke my heart. I hadn't planned on getting a dog that day but when I saw him looking that pitiful I couldn't leave him. Took him to the vet, got him wormed and food in his belly and 48 hours later he was a whole new dog. I think he would have died if I had left him there. He was so full of worms that after we dewormed him, he was so skinny! His little belly was all worms!

  • Haha, my parents and I had an 87 pound English Springer (I KNOW RIGHT?) when I was growing up that thought she was a cat. 87 lbs of dog on your lap doesn't work out so well for very long.

  • Britt, what a sad little guy! I bet most people would have said "Ugh, what's wrong with that one? I'm not taking him home!" and he would have sat there forever :( I'm so happy you adopted him. It's amazing how much different animals are when they're happier and not sick or hungry. Good for you.

  • I picked out Simon for a similar reason-- he was the only one out of the litter that was sitting quietly, so I picked him up. We took him into the play room and he hid under the chair most of the time. A day after I brought him home, it turned out he had a serious case of kennel cough and was really sick. After some antibiotics, he was a totally different dog-- he is hyper and never stops moving, basically the opposite of what I thought I was getting.

Totally swingers - I see this alot in my 2nd job. It's more common than alot of people think...I would be SO uncomfortable in AATB'S place!

    That's what I was thinking!

To each their own or whatever - I mean, what other people do is their business and I don't care. I just don't get swinging at all. How does that even come up in a conversation with your spouse? Like "hey honey, you know what might be fun? Switching partners with our neighbors. They're hot."

  • Fi and I watched this mini documentary on swingers once. They're all normal by day, with kids and jobs, and then by night hosting these swinging parties. There were lots of "rules" and guidelines and such. It was actually quite interesting.

  • Max was Max, behavior-wise when we got him. What we didn't count on was this "terrier mix"

to turn into this dachshund/lab/something else mix (25%, 13%, 62%) that currently weighs 75 lbs, has an 18 inch neck, a 34 inch chest, and stands 2 feet tall. Who thinks he's a lapdog.

  • Thanks, Alli!

J&K, FI works with a guy who is a swinger and so is his wife (I think). Or they're poly, at least. They do have some rules but I'm not sure exactly what the terms are.

I do home parties...of the adult variety. (spa products, lotions, bedroom toys)
  • I love Max! Are those pretty blue eyes I see?

Swinging is not for me, but to each their own, as long as everyone involved is cool with everything.
