DIY Invitations w/Photoshop

I tried looking through as many previous posts about using Photoshop for invites, but I couldn't look anymore.  

Anyone have a link or instructions on how to make invites using Photoshop . . . I downloaded a trial and would like to attempt using that to make a mock-up.  I have already made one with Word but I am not sure I LOVE it.  Wanted to give Photoshop a try.  

Any help would be appreciated.

    Photoshop is a ... really... complicated program. What I'd suggest doing is going to the library and checking out the QuickStart guide to using photoshop, or another program called InDesign, which is also made by adobe but more geared towards print media. This'll give you an idea of how to use the program before you start the (time limited) trial.

    I agree with pp; try a free trail of Indesign, It's more user friendly and you can do more of what I think you would want to do, considering your making invites. I can answer any specific questiosn about Indesign, I use it daily.
