Registry Question - Towels

How many did you register for?  I'm think at minimum we would need 14 (7 days in a week, 2 people showering).

But I think we need more than that really, but didn't want to appear needy!

EDIT: I don't use a new towel everyday! SLM, I agree with you! Thank you for reminding me that in fact 14 towels is wayyy too many.

Wow.  Maybe I'm weird, but I don't use a new towel everyday.  I think that's really environmentally unsound as it causes way too much laundry.  But to each their own as everybody prefers different things.

Needless to say, we didn't register for 14 towels.  We did 4 bath, 4 hand, 4 washcloths in two colors (so 8 of each total).  We have yet to use the vast majority of those.  Most of them we have put away for when there are guests or for when some get worn out.

But, if you change towels everyday, you might want a few extra for when you do have guests over, so you might want more than 14.  Maybe 18 would work better for you.

I don't use a new towel every day, either. I think we registered for 3 towels, 3 wash cloths and 2 hand towels in 2 colors. I already had some still in decent shape so I didn't get a ton new now, but I'll use gift cards to replace some old ones soon, probably.

I say register for whatever it is you need, I don't think it looks greedy. It looks greedy when you put a big screen tv or something like that on a registry.

We definitely don't use a new one every day. I think we did 6 towels (extra for company), 2 washcloths (we use those pouf thingies, but wanted them for company or whatever) and 2 hand towels.

Like S, I think we only registered for around 4 as well. Of course, we already had some towels (which I thought were just fine), and we only change ours once a week. I am confused though- do you mean 14 towels overall (including bath, hand towel, and wash cloth) or 14 sets? 14 sets seem like an awful lot on a registry, but if you have a large guest list, it might not seem like so much. Just my 2 cents!

EDIT: Ignore my response- typed it before I read the new responses/edits.

Our towel registry looks the exact same as S's- 4 each of big bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths in two different colors, so 8 of each total :)

we did 8 bath, 8 towel, and 2 washclothes b/c we too use poufs.  We had decent towels from when we moved to pgh, so we just store our wedding towels and bring out when company is around.  :-D

We registered for 6 towels, 6 hand towels, and 6 washcloths. We basically registered for 2 sets of colors that matched our bathrooms, then one set of white towels for guests.

What a great question!  I was thinking it myself.  Thanks for asking this.
