Looking for a wedding spot outdoors..

Does anyone know any good places that have outdoor areas for weddings? I would like something different then a golf course.

Depends on your budget of course, but we currently have our ceremony and reception booked at Tina's Country House in Macomb which has an outdoor garden area that is really quaint and pretty. THEN we just got our engagement pictures done at Meadowbrook in the gardens and it was SO lovely and we are trying to manage to see if we can somehow fit that into our budget; it's quite a bit more expensive.  I think that both are good options and that's just scratching the surface.  You could also look into local parks, beaches, ect.  Hope that helps a little bit :]

Welcome UrFaveBrunette1 ! Hope you'll share your wedding plans with us as you go along.

It might help to know more, ie how many people you are expecting to be guests, and a specific geographic area.

My fiance & I are getting married at Greenmead Historic site in Livonia. It's at 8 Mile and Newburgh Rd. Website here
    http://www.ci.livonia.mi.us/tabid/189/Departments/Community%20Resources/Greenmead/NewburgIntersection.aspx

It's a large "campus" of historic buildings with lovely gardens maintained by city employees. We liked it because it has a small chapel onsite (holds 100), plus an indoor option nearby if it rains. You can set a tent up next to the Alexander Blue house, which has banquet facilities and a "caterer's kitchen"indoors for the caterer to use, plus indoor, nicer restrooms. For both the chapel & banquet facility it was $1000 rental for my fiance who is a Livonia resident.

I'm not sure about other arrangements you can make if you want a "full on" outdoor ceremony and/or reception, but they are very friendly and it might be worth your time to check.

The city of Beverly Hills, near Southfield Rd & Beverly rd (13 1/2 Mile Rd) has a large park with a pavilion and restrooms as well.

Provide more info and the brides here can help.

    Good luck.
