August 2012 Weddings

so disappointed in our venue!

Im so disppointed in our venue! Yesterday I emailed my contact to make an appointment with her for today. She said sure. So we made the appointment for 11. Well I got there, told the receptionist I had a appointment, she called up to my contacts office, no answer. Called around no one answered. She sent someone to go find her, They couldnt find her. A half hour goes by, they tried her on her cell and nothing. WTF! So i left. I drove an hour there and back for nothing, with my toddler plus traffic. 
She e-mails me like a half hour later and said she is sorry but she took a walk in and had a meeting with them. why the hell would you do that when a. you knew i was coming and b. why didnt the staff tell me that> They made it seem like she left the property. 
I wrote her back telling her I was kind of dissapointed for the wasted day etc etc, maybe i shouldnt have? But she never e-mailed me back. Im still kind of upset with the lack of professionalism. And i am playing $175 a plate to have my wedding there, not to sound like a brat but thats a lot of freakin money and you just blow off my appointment?! im a bride, its a month before my wedding, im stressed out, have some consideration!

    That's nuts. I would be irked too. Plus I feel like maybe she was lying about the other appointment, I feel like the rest of the staff definitely would have known that. Plus it is no excuse if she had already planned an appointment with you!

  • That is so very inconsiderate of your time and money.  That just tells me that they really don't care about your or your money regardless of how much you are paying per plate that you are just another bride to them.

  • Sometimes when you can't change your own situation (like moving your reception) the only thing you can do is leave reviews all over the web of how you were treated.  You can start with your local board on here and find other review sites and post what happened.  I hope things work out in the future for you!

  • Grrr. I'd be super mad.

    Maybe I'm paranoid, but I'd wait until after the wedding to share reviews about the venue. You just never know..
