has anyone had back of dress altered to v-cut?

I'm wearing the Pronovias Alfa dress (picture below), but I had the straps removed so the dress now has a strapless sweetheart neckline.  The back of the dress cuts straight across, and I think it would be a lot more flattering if it had more of a v-cut.  The back has a hidden zipper and buttons.  Has anyone done this alteration or know if it's possible?

    I haven't done it and don't know if it's possible.  My best advice would be to ask your seamstress whether it's possible.  Good luck!  That's a gorgeous dress, btw.  :)

    I'm sure it can be done - anything can be done with enough time and money.  But you've already removed a significant amount of support by taking straps off.  Definately consult with your seamstress.

    Thanks- my seamstress is worried the dress might not have enough structure, so I think I'm going to focus on toning up my shoulders/back instead of trying to change the dress more.  Plank poses, push ups, and pull-ups here I come!
