Guestbook

We are having the Traveling Photobooth at our reception and will have the photo guestbook from them...I'm trying to figure out if we need a different guestbook for the ceremony.  Just curious what others have done or plan to do!  TIA!

Good question! I'm doing the same thing and I couldn't decide either. Sorry, not much help, but I'm curious to hear the advice. Blondie-how long are you having them at the reception, I just can't decide if I want them there for the social hour and the dance or one or the other.

Julie, I know...we went back and forth too!  But we decided to go with just the dance.  Our dance starts at 8pm and we booked them for three hours, since most people start to head out after 11pm anyways.

My friend used them last year and the line was insane, it was long the entire time they were there...I'm kinda nervous three hours won't be enough but our wedding will be a little smaller and we really didn't have the budget to have them longer, so hopefully it works out.

Are they willing to split the time between social hour and the dance?  If they do, it might be worth it if you're having a larger reception...and you'll have a better chance of getting those who leave shortly after the dance starts.

I also had the Traveling Photobooth and kept a traditional guest book out for the people who wouldn't (or couldn't) go in the booth for pictures.  Worked out great.

We're having the Traveling Photobooth as well, and I'm not planning on having a traditional guest book.  I really want people to use the photobooth, and I hope they will!

I think we booked them for 4 or 5 hours (I would have to double check the contract), but we're expecting over 200 people.  Jeff, the guy we talked to, said that we could add an additional hour onto the end if we needed, which is pretty great.

I knew I had made the right decision booking them when they sent back my contract, corrected, so that I saved $40.  I know, it's just $40, but in the grand scheme of things, it's pretty amazing that any company would fix your contract for you so you paid them less.

Not thoughts on this, but I would just add that older guests tend to start leaving either after dinner or after the cake cutting.  If you're not starting the photobooth until 8:00, you might miss out on some people.
