I'm SO sad I missed this thread last night! I'm a bonafide 90s music junkie! Class of '97 holla!

SarahPliz--I wore the hell out of baggy flannel shirts and jeans (not too holey since they weren't allowed) and overalls. I was hardly seen without them.

I just saw Salt N Pepa, Rob Base, and Bel Biv Devoe at a concert two months ago. I even busted out my old school dances--roger rabbit, cabbage patch, running man...it was fab!

My first rock concert was Gin Blossoms, Cracker and...The Spin Doctors! I also saw Tori Amos twice, Everclear, 311, Marcy Playground (they opened for Everclear). Never got to see Nirvana before Cobain died, and Pearl Jam tickets were highly coveted, yet impossible to get. PJ Harvey is also a favorite from then, along with Hole and Fiona Apple.

I'm gonna go put all of my 90s cds in my car now...ah, memories!

LOVE the Spin Doctors and Fiona Apple. I knew I was missing someone in the Meredith Brooks/Alanis era.

Rho- There is a movie theater here that does music video sing-a-longs. My girl friends and I dress up in the appropriate attire and go sing and dance our hearts out. Our favorites have been Ladies of the '80s, Jiggy Crunk (90's pop rap), 90's Alternative, and a sing Along Mix Tape one. They mash together all these music videos, with the lyrics beneath them, and its the most fun I've ever had in a movie theater. Add in alcohol and chips & queso and you have a wonderful Girl's night.

If any of you ever come this way, I'll take you to one of these shows.
