    I don't know...

But I feel flipping fantastic today!  Can't remember the last time I was in such a good mood.

My exact thoughts. Where is everyone?

Anyone ever heard of Luke Bryan? I'm now in love with him...er his music. He's got a great voice!

Mariah -- glad you're feeling better.  I know you were feeling the cruddies last week like I was.  I'm STILL purging the phlegm and fighting a persistent cough, but overall I feel SO much better finally.

I think it's dead because it's such a PITA to post now!  It took 3 tries to get the page to open.  I vote we start posting on the Nest board.  it works better, but no one's there.

I've stuck to my diet and worked my butt off and I actually weight a half pound more than I did on Jan 1st.   I can see the difference, but it would be nice to get some #'s too.

I'm taking a 4 week graduate course instead of the full semester so I will be free for our wedding.  The only problem is...it's on Saturday from 8-6.  What was I thinking?

Tiffany, I'm having the same problem.  I'm working out 3-4 times a week, and eating better than I have in ages, but the weight is just not coming off.  Very depressing.  I actually feel like my pants are still getting tighter.  I think I'm building up muscles under the layer of fat that won't go away, so my stupid thighs are getting bigger.  I just can't win.

I know what you mean!!  It is so hard to keep it up when you see no weight change from week to week.   If I lose a few pounds then I'm motivated to keep it up, but if I gain some I just want to go eat a cheeseburger.   (j/k....sort of)

I've got some allergy issues with this weather change.

Yesterday was so freaking fantastic, that I'll let today's dreariness slide.

I feel fine for the most part except for this stupid sore throat.  I've taken 4 of my Z-Pack pills and my throat still hurts.  The sinus infection is gone but I don't know what's going on with my throat.  I'm afraid that the negative strep test was a lie.

I'm in a pretty good mood too, even with the start of a new semester and having to lay down the law with a couple of my classes.

I thought some of the singers were pretty good on last night's American Idol auditions.  However, I still can't believe that guy thought that "Tip Toe Through the Tulips" was a good audition song.

My FI has been a little under the weather and that sucks.

I think the board has been slow because it never works properly(at least on my computer) it never shows all the posts.

The headboard that I got made has just been delivered. I am in love. It makes our bedroom look a thousand times better...

I'm impatiently waiting for my husband to get home so we can head to the airport to head out East...

    Have fun Emi!

There is nothing wrong with eloping, Kelly :)

I am completely exhausted today and it's only the second day of classes.
  • edited December 2011
You know what I love?  Students that call about getting into a class.  "Which class are you trying to get into?" "Uhhh, the one on uhhhhh Tuesday/Thursday."  "Do you have the class number?"  "Uhhh, it meets on Tuesday/Thursday." Seriously? What are you smoking?  And they can't give you much more information than that.  Usually it takes me awhile to lose my patience but I'm pretty sure I set a record this semester.

Work has been getting in the way of my knotting so that is my excuse.  Plus the boards still aren't that great.

shortgirl- the same thing happens to me at work, except it is high level managers.  They call me wanting something or all p*ssed about something but they can't provide me any details.  I'm not a mind reader people, I can't fix it if I can't see it.

Secondly, this is probably more FFF, but two of today's topics have been discussed this week at least once already. Hello? Scroll down the page...

    Tiffany,
I am with you on reading other posts to answer your questions.

Is it really that difficult to keep quiet until every student has finished the assignment?  Also, I have a few students who laugh like Beavis and Butthead and it makes me want to vomit when I hear it.

kellylovesjames - I'm right there with you on eloping.  I am tired of planning.

juliebug - Ha!  I cracked up on AI when he started singing that and then actually tip toeing.  But then I felt bad, because I think he might really have a mental issue.

I had Monday off - why is this week seem like it's NOT SHORT!!

Since paper is the staple 1 yr anniversary gift, I just bought Jeff a subscription to Playboy. You can flame away, but they don't bother me and he has always hinted around wanting to start his collection. He is in charge of planning the 1st anniversary and since he has done a stellar job so far, I figured giving him a little something would be fun...

While it's definitely Bill's cup of tea (at least I don't think it is), I think that's kind of a cool gift, Emi.

I said something.  I'm sorry but seriously, scroll down the page it's not that hard.  And is 3 exclamation points necessary?  I think not.

Is there any way to create a sticky thread or a link somewhere that we can all post who we used/recommend for flowers, hair/makeup, RD, and things like that?  Then we wouldn't have to reply every day to the same question posted by someone different?

I personally get tired of responding to the same question over and over if they are posted within a week of each other, and at some point I just stopped replying completely because I didn't care anymore.

I don't see the big deal of asking a repeat question. Maybe if you are a constant repeat offender, I could see why it is obnoxious. Sometimes ppl are stressed and this is their last resort, not a place to come in a check in on daily/weekly. Sometimes I wonder if I did not join when I did, would I have stuck around...
  • edited December 2011

steph- I really don't respond much anymore either unless it has been a while.   I have great vendors, I think, but I feel like I'm pimping them out when I mention them over and over and over.

Grrr...I'm annoyed. In order to keep a scholarship, I have to go on a two day visit with other scholarship recipients to an oil company in Houston. An oil company that didn't give me a job offer, by the way, after point blank telling me a year ago they planned to hire me and gave me every other indication they would...makes so much sense for me to go down there and hear the same crap for the 5th time while they try and convince us to work there, even though I'm going somewhere else.

Anyway, it turns out the trip falls on Ash Wednesday. And I'm kinda PO'ed. Ash Wednesday technically isn't a Holy Day of Obligation, but I feel crappy missing mass to go schmooz a corporate overlord for no benefit--I've never missed it before in my life and it is really important to me.  Plus, I'm sure they wont think of Catholics and no-meat requirements, etc. and I have no idea how I could get to mass without being a total pain. Grrr...

I did a "Post Your Wedding Vendors Here" thread when I was new and it helped me so much.  I've done it again a time or two since I've been on here and someone always says it helped them.  Maybe we should do one and sticky it--I think that's a great idea.

I never hesitate to recommend my vendors because I loved them all so much.  They were wonderful and I don't know what I would have done without them since my wedding coordinator was a dire failure.

Marissa-- I heard about the Grapevine thing. Wonder what the pricing on that will be...

I think the vendor sticky is a good idea. It would be very helpful and time-saving for girls hunting down info.

I think that it would be great to have everyone's vendor info somewhere. When I first came on here I spent hours trying to go through everyone's bio and most I could not access. That is why I did the poll...

Also, I would like to suggest that instead of asking for a vendor that is reasonable priced to give a more specific number. Some people think spending $1k on flowers is reasonable where as I think that $500 for flowers is reasonable.  Just my opinion.
