Registry Opinion - Food Processor

I got so many wonderful things from my shower, especially a lot of small kitchen appliances.  As I look on friends' registries I am noticing one thing missing from mine -- a food processor, small or large.  I have every other appliance possibly imaginable, but do I need a food processor?  If you use it, what do you use it for?  Do you find this can be done with other appliances?  Thanks in advance!

I use mine for grating veggies and cheese.  Mine also has a chop feature, which I use to make sauces.  If you have recipes that call for a lot of grated items, I find it to be handy.  Otherwise I don't think it does anything that a blender or smart stick can't do.  There are some blender/food processor combos out there you may want to look at if you don't want to have 2 separate items.  I know Ninja makes one.

  • I use my food processor to grate, chop, and slice insanely quickly and evenly. I also use it to make doughs, purée sauces, make dips, all sorts of things. I love it.

  • A Food Processor is the one item that I hope someone actually gets me!
