Re: Newbies from the post on page 2...

  • 11:00 pm and no dinner...I`d be chewing off my own arm by now.  And I`d be right bitchy too.  You`re clearly a better woman than I am.
  • LOL!  I'm not much of an eater.  I haven't eaten anything yet today.  With H working closings a few times a week I've gotten used to having dinner after 11.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

  • I`d be dead.  Or fiance.  Dont fuuck with my food.  Nope.  As a woman who is on the end of a 120 pound weight loss, I still don`t like to miss a meal.
  • Jackie - you never found your cat did you?  Well, God love ya for adopting!  So many homeless pets.  Mine is a shelter cat and she has such idiosyncracies that I really wish I knew about her younger years.  She hates with a passion to be picked up, and she's pretty much afraid of her own shadow.  Makes me sad.
  • 120 lbs!  Good for you.  I struggle back and forth with 10 lbs.
  • Hey Marrin--yeah, I`ve had a couple like that too.  These lovies are 10 weeks old.  They just need socializing and safety.  No, our Buddy never came home.  These little guys will never replace him, but there are so many cats needing homes, and we got lucky with the kittens.
  • 120 pounds is awesome.  Congrats!

  • Thanks!  I`ve maintained that for a few years now.  I play up and down with about 30 pounds.  For me 30 pounds is nothing these days.  Just exercise more, and, well, count on molecules of food and air for sustenance really.
  • Ladies......good night.  I've been up since 4:30 AM and it's coma time for me.

I`m off for a bit too.  Enjoy dinner, Betrothed.  I will be having chicken breast, no fat, and a baked potato, no anything and heaps of veggies.  Help me on that thread a couple of threads up, tx.  I have no idea what shes trying to say.
  • I think there's no helping that one...

    Enjoy your dinner, Jackie.

    Enjoy your sleep, Marrin.

    Wedding date:
    9/9/2012
Favourite part about planning so far:
exploring the different sides of my FI and I, and learning more about ourselves.
How it feels to be new on this board:
No complaints. I try not to be the idiot newbie.

  • I'm new :)

    Sarah (and Nathan!)
    11 June 2011
My favorite part of planning thus far would be talking with my fiance and listening to him get excited about everything. Him being as much into it as I am makes me happy.
The Knot makes me feel...muy...muy...excited! I like to read the threads, learn new things, cry, and mostly laugh. :)
    God bless!
  • Name: Jenni
    Wedding Date: Aug 14th 2010
Favorite thing about planning: That it's almost over. I hate planning things and making final decisions
How do I feel about this board: LOVE IT! Though I enjoy being snarky and laughing at the girls who defend that its their day and they can do what they want. Honesty is very refreshing. I spent some time over and weddingwire and that before I found the knot and the thought of those boards still make me shudder and wonder how society become that self involved and heartless
  • Oh, Betrothed, you know me so well. Yep. I'm sorry I left you guys hanging. I had to hit the sack. And to answer you questions: I didn't eat a kit kat, I ate a nutrageous and it made me feel infinitely better. The mucinex, not so much.
  • Name: Tara (Fiancee Scott)
    Date 11/10/12
fav part:  have only been doing research mostly online & catalogs so, no fav just yet. Will absolutely love doing the dress part through. :) And the actual day too. I've played the ceremony music for numerous weddings so for it to finally be me...will just be swell!!! :) (I'm gonna cry...)

feels: I've been lurking, amazed at both the stupidity of some people (also constantly amazed by that in real life) and the frank candidness of some replies, but given the usual situation, it is nescessary! and then they still don't get it... anways, I've already gotten lots of good input & love the DIY section.

Have a good day all, it's nitey-nite time for me!

  • Your name: Kelly
    Wedding date: October 15, 2011
Favourite part about planning so far: I haven't really done anything too big to be excited yet, It'll probably be like dresses or something.
How it feels to be new on this board: It's not bad, as long as you lurk. A lot of the regs on here have the same sense of humor as my friends IRL, and I love the honesty on here
  • Name: Holly

    Wedding Date: 10-23-10

Favorite part of planning: Anything that didn't require stress.

How it feels to be new on this board:  Entertaining!  I love, love, love most of these women.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that I never get flamed for something stupid. :)

Just for the record: I would like to crash kmiller's wedding wearing bib overalls with a "wifebeater" and flip-flops.  I might add a straw hat to top off the outfit.  Just for shits and giggles!

  • Watch out, HD. Isn't she the one who said she'd have a sheriff there to keep out the riff raff? You might end up in some backwoods jail cell with prison guard Larry going on and on about what a pretty mouth you have.

  • Your name:  Dara
    Wedding date:  4/16/11
Favourite part about planning so far:  Going to visit with vendors...all of them.  I've actually had a lot of fun talking with everyone and getting new ideas.
How it feels to be new on this board:   hmmm it's very interesting.  I can say that it has made me more aware of being a grammatical hot mess.  I haven't been scolded yet, but I'm sure my day is coming.

Favorite part about planning so far: it's almost over. but my favorite part WAS venue shopping, believe it or not. and talking with my mom about her random (but always good) decorating ideas.

Come to think of it Cew, she said that most of the county would be at her wedding.  May be a good time to rob a bank since they will all be at the "wedding of the century".  We could be out of town before kmiller would let them leave her fab wedding! ;)

  • Your name: AllisonWedding date: July 10, 2010Favourite part about planning so far: Starting to get response cards back :)How it feels to be new on this board: It's like rainbows and puppies and unicorns. :)
Also, I'm stuck in the airport b/c my plane was delayed 3 hours. :( At least I can catch up on the Knot while I'm here! :) I was out of town this weekend and I missed so much snark!
  • Your name: Shai

    Wedding date: 9/09/11

Favourite part about planning so far: How involved FI is in the planning. He has an opinion about everything. My bridal party is going nuts with my 'I have to check with FI and make sure he likes it, to' responses, and sometimes I do get frustrated and want to scream 'Who is the bride here?', but I secretly love that he wants it to be about 'us'

How it feels to be new on this board:
Intimidating?  I've run across some scary threads. Tongue out

  • Your name: Misse
    Wedding date: 10/10/10
Favourite part about planning so far: having everyone (BM, MOH, me and mom) all find the perfect dresses in about 45 minutes. Awesome girls day.
How it feels to be new on this board: you girls scare me! haha... snarky board is not a place for the weak and mild.
