TGIFF

Yes that is right, Thank Gosh Its Fricken Friday! This has been one long week and I think it is due to day light savings.

What are everyone's plans for this weekend?

I have to work at my second job tonight and tomorrow morning. Tomorrow night we are having dinner at our friends house and just hanging out. Sunday I am hoping to get a 6 mile run in (if I can get to the running store for new shoes before then) and then off to my grandma's house for her birthday. I also cannot wait to sleep in a little on Sunday morning.

Re: TGIFF

  • Wow 6 miles? I wish I was a runner. I really need to just start running even thought I hate it. I have to work tomorrow as well but that means I have today off! Thank goodness for that so today I am doing some much needed cleaning(the house AND dog!) This weekend it is supposed to warm up and be 75 both Saturday and Sunday so I am super excited about that!

  • Tonight: sewing like a mad woman because my friend's baby shower is next weekend and I haven't even cut out the material.... whoops!! And hopefully chatting with FH.

Tomorrow: More crazy sewing antics... and cleaning. And then boot camp.

Sunday: Church, grocery shopping, maybe a run, and crafting FH's birthday present.

    And sleep. More sleep.
  • Oh how I cannot wait for it to get in the 70s here. 60s would be delightful too. It is actually snowing right this second. We are supposed to get 1-3 inches.

I started running around this time four years ago (well after being out of high school for 4 yrs). I started out slow, small mileage at a time. We got a highly energetic dog that needed to run. The first few days it was starting out walking, then slow jog, then walk, then slow job for a half mile. Eventually I just gradually increased my distance and then speed. I have a half marathon in May and I am slacking in training because of the snow this winter.

I have off next Sat so I will be cleaning my house, it needs it.

<div>I'll be crafting all weekend as well! Yey!</div><div>
</div><div>So FI's fever yesterday? He has the flu. Poor guy. We were going to register and look at wedding bands, but now that is not happening. I just hope he feels better soon - his temperature went up to 103 when he was at the dr's office.  This morning it was 99, so at least it partly broke, but I wouldn't be surprised if it goes up again by this evening. (And I thought flu season was over!)</div><div>
</div><div>I will be knitting and possibly doing some sewing. Probably cleaning and food shopping as well.</div>

</div><div>Yuck! We only got one day of snow this year and it lasted maybe half a day and didn't stick to the roads or anything. I wish I could see more snow but I would much rather have warm weather! We don't know what snow is down here. Ive been planning on gradually working my way up to running. My dog will love it too.

We are going for a hike after work because it is uspposed to be 72 today!

Tomorrow, we have pre-marital counseling at the church, we are going to eat some gyros out of a Greek food truck we are considering as part of our wedding reception.  Tomorrow night, FI is going to the gun club he is a member of (yes - you read that right) to celebrate his bday.

    Sunday, church and taxes.  Bleh!

  • I hope you FI feels better soon SewInLove!! Rochelle that sounds like my FI, he wants to go shooting this weekend. I actually enjoy going with him though, I have fun shooting guns.

I call BS!!! haha I have family in Morganton and Ashville. Plusaslo, you aren't that far from the mountains. You know what it is, you just don't get a whole lot of it.

  • Haha! I actually used to live in Asheville (my parents still live there) and we did get a lot of snow and I loved it! Where I am now which is only like 4 hours away we never get any snow at all! The people here freak out whenever it snows too. When they call for a possibility of snow and say there is a 60% of getting 1/2 inch everyone runs to the grocery store and stock piles like they are going to be snowed in for weeks! It's ridiculous! I guess I should re-phrase my statement to the people where I live don't know what snow is, haha!

  • Tonight we are packing and moving some stuff out of the house. Tomorrow we are looking at houses in the morning, then we have our RB's 2nd birthday party and my cousin's 40th surprise birthday party, and we might go out for St Patty's day. Sunday we are probably doing more packing, and I am going to attempt to make corned beef!

All while not thinking about the weather.

I know - it's baloney! I wore a sundress to RB's party last year. That is not happening tommorow. Le sigh - the volatile state of living in Wisconsin. Though I keep reminding msyelf that I would much rather have cold than hurricanes and (lots) of tornados and earthquakes or scorpions and poisonous snakes. It could definintely be worse.

  • Rochelle - Gyros are one of my favorite things in the whole wide world.  I would eat two a day, every day if I could.  Enjoy!

My weekend looks pretty amazing. Some gym time, some sleep, some house cleaning.  Maybe we will do rings/tuxes if we feel like it.  I gotta get to the farmers market tomorrow, it's the only going on this weekend that has a time constaint.

    Everyone enjoy your plans!
    S'mores. Just S'mores please.
