hi hi. I'm catching up on Army Wives so I'm prepared for the new season Sunday.

  • Aryn, I'm using a groupon for mine so it didn't cost me a ton.  I probably wouldn't have done it otherwise.

I wanted my date to be March 17th so I had the whole week off before the wedding but the only date left in March was the 31st.  We're going on our honeymoon in June so I don't have to miss any more days.

Also, my dad has, 3 weekends in a row, said he was going to cook crawfish on Saturday and 3 weekends in a row has changed his mind.  Today's mind change was the fastest.  Two hours ago he was planning on cooking crawfish tomorrow night and now he's frying shrimp and fish instead.  When I pointed out that I can't have fried food right now he agreed to grill me some shrimp.

  • Whit, I lost track of that show sometime during the 2nd season.  Is it worth going back to catch up?

That's the first thing that popped into my mind too.

I think so! It's one of my favorite shows. I'm watching it on netflix because we didn't have cable last year and I missed a whole season.

  • We waited till April to go on our honeymoon. It wasn't a big deal. I was  really happy that we didn't leave right away. We had friends and family from out of town that stayed after the wedding.

<div>I did the exact same thing. I use to love it but got a few episodes behind and just never caught up again. </div>

I've never watched Army Wives, but from what I've heard it's nothing like reality.

ETA: I guess I should say that when the first advertised it I thought it was supposed to be a reality show.

  • Beachy... I read FFF.. and after I hit post I remembered LDY saying something similar.  I know exactly how she felt right now.

Oh heck no. It's like desperate housewives, but with army wives. We used to live next to ft. campbell and we would watch this show with actual army wives, and cry at the sad parts but laugh about how dramatic everything was.

Edit: And not that I'm an army wife, but had/have friends in that life.

  • What's up people I just read the whole FFF and overall it was pretty ridiculous (6 pages on the use of derogatory terms- really?), but I am not going to rehash what has already passed.

My sister had knee surgery today and is all hyped up on pain pills. The dog we are babysitting pooped in the house and my dog is now nervous and throwing up.

    Exciting times

Last May, I had an epic cold from hell that I could not shake.  I remember one of the days I was at work, trying to add up my hours on my time sheet.  I had to add them four times before I got the right number.  It was pathetic.

  • Oh I've had colds like that before. They're awful! Usually at that point I'm so foggy that I don't care about anything other than curling up in bed for days.
  • I'm feeling pretty pathetic right now.  I hope I feel better in the morning.
  • Jill - that is a gorgeous instrument :).
  • Loopy, will you get to rest all day on Sunday?
  • Working Sunday too (double time :))... supervising.  It's pretty light duty though.  I'll be able to do lots of sitting and knotting if anyone is around.  It'll just be at my desk instead of on my couch.
  • At least it's light work! Hopefully you have a comfy chair.
  • Yeah, my chair's not bad...
On that note - I'm off to bed.  Good night all!
  • Hi!  I'm back from tacos and the art exhibit.  It was "Nude Nite Tampa 2012."  There was a lot of naked art (duh).  The wife of one of H's coworkers had a few pictures there.
  • hahahaha a friend of mine just posted a picture of her vacuum standing up by itself on facebook. It totally cracked me up.

  • One of the photos at the exhibit was of a girl who looked like me from behind.  I nearly had a heart attack because I couldn't remember the name of the local photographer who did my b pics.  I just checked, and he did have a photo in the exhibit, but luckily it wasn't of me.
  • Hey guys. I'm so bored. I made mac and cheese from scratch last night, it was pretty good but not as creamy as I wanted, so I'm probably going to remake it tomorrow.

Other than that, I'm pretty much just sitting here, making up school schedules because the fall classes were finally posted and I'm a huge goddamn nerd.

Blargh. I have to go back to the branch I was at for the last couple of months next week for a few days. It was so nice not having to listen to endless chatting about babies and baby daddies and other inane bs.
  • I used to love coming up with my school schedule.

  • It's magical.
  • Hello! I just got home from a party for my dog called pups and puptinis! It was fun and my dog is tired and I'm KUI!
