Oh FB friend...

Re: Oh FB friend...

  • I have some FB friends that do that, you can set your preferences to ignore their wall updates so you don't have to read that crap every time you log in.  I asked one if she had gotten her facebook account confused with twitter, she didn't appreciate the joke.

  • Kind of a side note--my dad and his girlfriend will have long conversations with each other on FB--and they're sitting right next to each other. You'll see 20 or 30 posts on one thread and somewhere in there one of them will say something about being able to see the other, or sitting next to them, or being in the other room (they live together).

    I don't get it.
  • I have a couple friends who do that crap. I have a one year old. Yes, to me, he is the cutest thing on the entire planet. Yes, my FI and I love him more than life itself. But, he's OUR kid. No one else gives a shiit about all the mundane things he does like we do. Hell, some of the times I don't even give a shiit.

In regards to the women who bitch and whine and complain about their babies ; Grow up and fuuck off. Seriously, do they realize how hard it is for people to have children sometimes? Hell, there's so many people who CAN'T have kids, and they have the audacity to whine because their baby "is needy"? IT'S A BABY. Next time, keep your legs shut.

  • I have a FB friend who took a video of her baby moving around in her belly and posted it to her FB.  I'll admit, I was curious and I viewed it - but afterwards I couldn't believe how bizarre and rather strange it was to post that online.

I have TONS of these kinds of facebook friends - especially now since we're all of the marrying/child bearing age.  It's craziness.  I feel like I know way too many things about these people!

  • I agree!!! Totally TMI...I have a similar relative that does the same crap..Who really gives a **** about your kids cold, or the fact that you haven't even gotten out of your pj's yet because you've been running around caring for 6 kids.
  • A had a friend have a home birth and post a picture of the placenta, in a mixing bowl, on the stovetop on Facebook. With the caption "stovetop placenta!"

    OMFG. Horrible.

  • Also a disclaimer, if you had something happen during the birth and are giving updates that's fine and I appreciate them, or "1sts" updates :) Like, Emma, Taryn, Xavier updates

I agree with this. I don't really think any of the Knotties I'm FB friends are "obnoxious" about their kids. The people I get annoyed with are girls I went to high school with who feel the need to give a play-by-play of every single thing their kids do. It's like the moment they got pregnant they ceased to exist being anything except a mother.

Like I said earlier, an occasional update is one thing. But when every single status is nothing but "My baby this", "My pregnancy that", I get stabby.

  • That is why you shame those people on STFUparents.

I have 2 people like this on my FB. One ALWAYS posts about her husband's poo iin the toilet or her kids peeing the bed or....god make it stop. I tell her everytime how bad it is and her children will hate her in the future for what she is revealing.

    It doesn't stop.
