    Yeah I'm annoyed. It's one of those things where if we didn't go we would be the only ones in the family not going. So no matter what I'm an ass to somebody. Hopefully it was one of those things where the grooms folks told my in laws that they could bring us all. But if it really is okay that we all come I dont see why we didn't all didnt get invitations.

    I expected certain people to pull some RSVP crap based on who wasn't invited, and I was fully preparred to fight it. I was surprised when nothing came of it, but found out later my mom got a earful from people (but she was on my side, so no worries).

    That sucks, LP. Glad you didn't break anything though. Stair falls are scary.

    Morning! Can't wait for today to be over! I have a good weekend planned- an hour massage tomorrow and then hanging out with my best friend at the pool on Sunday afternoon.

    Speaking of soldiers one of FIs friends is going through a "Dear John" moment. He's engaged and his fiance is living with his brother. Apparently on skype a month ago she called everything off. Its really shitty because if you knew the background it seems like she was only with him so he could support her and then once she found a job she was all "screw you". I hope to God he's not paying her rent still.... People suck. A lot.

    This makes me wonder about FIs course. Whenever he talks about setup for the women's tourneys its on weekdays and the men always get weekends. Lame. Funny thing is, I think a few of the women that play are pretty kick ass and could probably give the guys a run for their money. But, alas, golf is still very much a male dominated event. I mean, some courses don't even let women play!

    I know it's not the same thing but it reminds me of the country club we belonged to when I was a kid. My then stepfather was a member and my mother was added to his membership. When they divorced she was kicked because divorced women were not allowed to be members. Allegedly it was the wives who pushed for this policy to "protect" their husbands from those man-stealing single ladies.

    <div>That's awful.  I never realized how dramatic golf can be until my mom told me stories.  She is the women's club champion at her CC.  She won the championship shortly after moving here, fair and square.  The previous champion (who had won the past 3 years in a row) was bad mouthing my mom all over, saying she was cheating, etc.  My mom has a special parking place at the club that has a sign with her name on it, and "someone" ran it over with a car or a golf cart.  They can't prove who did it, but it's pretty obvious. The previous champion made such a fuss over my mom winning that she (the previous champion) eventually left the club.  It's ridiculous. </div>

    Good morning, ladies.

    Holyschiit.  Wednesday night was marble-sized hail, last night was golf ball-sized hail. 



    My poor garden is shredded.  The tomatoes, peppers, lillies, marigolds, hydrangea, squash - all torn to pieces.  I hope it's early enough in the season for them to recover.

    Good morning.  We missed out on all the weather nonsense again last night.  There was a nasty cell to our north with tornadoes and a horrid one to the south with golfball sized hail, but we had sunny skies until sunset.  Then, not even a drop of rain. 

    Sesh- I'm about halfway through Sour Orange Derby and I'm liking it a lot.  I'm going to PM you in a minute because I want to talk about something and I don't want to post spoilers.  Cool

    I'm hoping for a mellow weekend, but we'll see.  We have a bunch of housework to do but at least I did laundry last night, so we don't have that this weekend.  It's supposed to hit 90-95 tomorrow.  That means watering the garden and flowers.

    Les- You doing Oskar Blues tomorrow?

    I'm halfway through the derby too, BK.  I'm LOVING the story.  I can smell the oranges.

    The cars seem to be ok, I need to look at the roof.  It sounded like gunshots when the hailstones hit.

    I don't know about Oskar Blues tomorrow.  DH is OOT for the weekend, so my plans are up in the air.

    Les- It's funny, I used that exact same phrase when I was PM'ing Sesh about the oranges.  Anyone who hasn't bought it yet absolutely should!  It's got a very vivid storytelliing style.

    Hail damage sucks.  Hopefully you'll get some respite for a while.
