Even though we got to stay home this weekend, I HAVE BEEN SO FARKING BUSY.

You name it, I did it. Ok, maybe not THAT drastic, but PRETTY MUCH. I'm tired.

procrastinating cleaning my 2nd bathroom. I skyped with the parents, and with my brother and SIL who are in Germany for a few months - so that was cool. FI has been at work all day.

I lurk a lot, but don't have time to post and stick around to converse so I don't usually bother.

My brother got transferred there for 6 months for some training. Got married July 3, moved to Germany July 6. They're coming back for a few days for my wedding, and should be back for good in January.

Yeah, but so far they are having fun. SIL is a little frustruated at the language barrier. She is keeping a blog which is fun to read. She posted about being homesick on Friday and mentioned Cliffs bars so I may put together a care package for her. Not sure what else to include besides Cliffs bars.

Tell me about it. I mailed invites on Wednesday. I have a few DIY things to finish up for centerpieces and the card box, programs, and later escort cards, but I'm trying to be realistic about what I can really accomplish in 9 weeks

My weekend was also spent busy at home. I decided to tackle the 'study'... which is looking remarkably more study-like now.

*sigh* some. I got 2 phone calls last week, which is 100% better than the previous 3 months have been. one person has possible job openings, the other has not replied to my reply. at this point, I'm mostly putting it in God's hands. He'll have me where He wants me.

Oh, I can't WAIT! It's my 'shot' night, so I try to drink up beforehand, not that it hurts less, but it makes it easier. Oh! And when we get home, we'll probably watch the new True Blood. - stellar night for me, all 'round. Apart from the evil shot.

I quit it last winter so I could finish school and plan the wedding without the added stress of a 4-hour-per-week job. it was an ER tech position, which is basically a nurses' aide but in the ER. it was a student job. now that I am all gradumacated and licensed and shite, I can't find an actual grown-up nurse job. go figure.

hi everyone!
I just got back from picking up/escorting Dh home from work. We had a crazy destructive wind/rain storm sweep through the area so I didn't want him coming home on the mountain on his Ninja without me. Tomorrow I get to call tree removal people to come deal with the downed trees in my yard and go help my dad with his garage. He's hoping he can fix it without tapping into insurance but we'll have to see.

doing some cleaning up the yard after the crazy storm we got today. one of our trees fell on the neighbor's fence and i don't know if my tomato plants are gonna recover.

Sounds like storms are going around. We've had a seriously windy day, with the sustained wind at 22 mph, with gusts up around 40. It's stopped now though, so that's good.

Other than that, I took a long ass nap earlier.

we had 70+ mph gusts today. i was seriously freaked. just watching everything going crazy outside, seeing the tree go down, just feeling helpless and scared. usually i enjoy storms but this one was way crazy. and it rained so hard it was coming out of the gutters like waterfalls.

we had a crazy ass storm last night similar to what the DC area had today. very violent and over very quickly. our power was going on and off.
