David's Bridal sells your info???

I went to try on dresses at a David's Bridal about two weeks ago. When you first arrive they have you fill out a form with you name, email, phone number, address, etc.
Since my visit, I've recieved three calls from a Mary Kay consultant saying I won a prize pack from David's Bridal. I wasn't interested so I just didn't respond. Well today she started texting me.
I told her I wasn't living in the area near the store (I live about an hour away) and wasn't interested in the package because I didn't want to travel. She then sent me a text saying that my town really wasn't that far from the store and kept baggering me.
I was a little upset that she was contacting me in the first place but I was very upset to find out that she knew where I lived.
Have any of you had issues with David's Bridal giving you info to other vendors?

Did you ask her how she got your number?  You simply need to tell her, "I'm not interested.  Stop calling and texting me."  You don't owe strangers explanations as to why you can't pick up stuff.  I'd call David's Bridal, and ask wtf is up.

I called my local store, they couldn't give me much info because it's done more on a corporate level.  But they did tell me that Mary Kay is one of their vendors.
I didn't feel like I had to explain myself to this woman, I was just upset that she had all of my info in the first place. I've never had a store give out my info like that before.

Stores are selling your info all of the time.  Don't give it out.

I had this happen to me too. They said I won a bridal facial or something like that. I live about an hour away from David's Bridal as well and I told her I wasn't interested. Luckily she said ok and never called me again.

They sold my information too. I get calls from men's warehouse all the time, even now when I'm already married.

Can't you just tell her to fk off?  It's not that hard.  Just 2 little words.

Using a P.O. Box when possible is a good way to prevent the vendors from knowing where you live.
