Anyone? Bueller?

Re: Anyone? Bueller?

  • So I guess it's not a fruit ticker. Just a produce ticker. We can still call the baby Fruit Loop though, it's mainly fruit.

We'll just pretend an onion is a fruit when you get to that point, Loopy.

How did the cat handle the flea bath?
  • Works for me :)

I still am loving that hat Mica :)
  • As good as you would think haha. Poor cat. And she still has fleas swarming all over her. I think we're going to bomb the apartment after we take them to my mom's. She's cat sitting while we're on the HM.

Thanks Loopy.  I love it too, and even H loved it (and he usually has nothing to say about my clothing).
  • Poor kitty.  Won't they take the fleas to your mom's?
  • Did you guys hear about that lady in Canada who hit a moose and forgot she did it?

<div>They'll sleep in the garage bathroom. It's pretty big so they can wander and stuff. They have a dog but he takes a flea pill or something so he shouldn't get them.</div>
  • She blacked out or something and drove to work with blood on her face and her car smashed.
  • Hey hey hey!

Fleas are the suck.  Once our outdoor cat brought them in to our indoor cat and they were horrendous. I think my mom used the bomb, though, and it worked really well--they all died and we had no recurrences.

Yikes, that's scary. That must have freaked out her coworkers.

Hi Nates - I love your sig pic : )

    Hi Nates!

I agree with poke.  I love your sig pic.
  • Thanks, guys!

Mica, I am so jealous of your hat.  My dream is to be a fancy lady who lunches and wear flouncy hats. I'm not sure that N supports this dream ;)

I'm planning our annual potluck Memorial Day BBQ--do you think having games on hand is stupid? It's very casual--we do it at the state park since there's hiking, boating, sunbathing and swimming and people come and go at any time, as they please. Usually people just hang out and talk and all, but I think some party games might be fun. But what?
  • Do you play corn hole in your area? That's a big party game here.
  • Eeeesh, Aleigh.  My sister and I gave one of her cats a flea bath once and he hooked her ear and tore it open.  It was not pretty.  I hope you had good luck with yours.

Nates, I have the same dream.  H isn't supporting that one either.  Boo.
  • No, Aleigh. I only know of it because it's big in IN, where my H is from.  I suck at it, as you can imagine.

I have cards and my mom has an oversized checkers board, so we can have those on hand. Maybe Catch Phrase? the one where it gives you an item/event and you need to describe it to your team.

With all those other options, I think having a pack or two of cards and checkers is more than sufficient.

    Husbands just don't understand.

Ouch! That poor cat! But they act so crazy when we're trying to help them. We had to give Bax his heartworm and flea meds on Saturday. As soon as I was done, he broke loose, ran throughout the apartment, jumped on the couch cushions, slid down them, and did a backflip (accidentally). You'd think we were trying to kill him, the way he acts.
  • Nates, reminds me of the way our guinea pig acts if I try to clip his nails.  You'd think I was gouging him.

  • They just don't understand that WE'RE trying to help THEM out. Geez.
  • I totally made some potatoes in the toaster oven. It's freaking amazing.

Anyways, my cousin and I gave her cat a shower when we were little. It did not end well for us.

I'm sorry.  This is hilarious to me right now.

  • Good point, Mica.  There is more than enough to occupy people if lounging is too boring.

Bay, that sounds just like Bax with the nails. I have to have the vet do them because he's SO crazy.  She barely touched him and he yelped as if he were dying--at first she thought he was genuinely in pain, but then she realized he's just dramatic.

<div>Yeah, my mom was flabbergasted. </div>
  • When we give Autumn a bath she stands there with her ears down and looks like the most pitiful/pathetic puppy ever.
  • Ha, Poke, I can only imagine.

I have a few pictures of Bax just standing in the water and you can tell  he's thinking, "WHY?!"
