Help! Thoughts on Brown Tuxes

OK....so our colors are eggplant and burnt orange with accents of lime green. I feel like having black tuxes doesnt really go with the color scheme. I was thinking of doing brown tuxes from Men's Warehouse because I think brown would flow better, but the shoes that come with the are hideous (sp?) plus Im not too wild about the shade of brown. Then I was thinking about doing a khacki suit, but now I am thinkning that is going to be too light for a fall wedding. Now I am so torn.

Any suggestions/thoughts?

What about gray? It's not as harsh as black, and would still fit with eggplant and burnt orange.

FI is getting the brown tux from men's warehouse but he loves it and refuses to go with black.

Personally, I think that black tuxes are classic,timeless, and go with everything. I don't see why black wouldn't fit in with a eggplant, burnt orange, lime green, color scheme.

If black really bothers you, I'd go with gray...I'm not a huge fan of brown and khaki is more for a summer wedding.

Agree with PP: try a gray. Brown tuxes tend to look kind of 70s to me!

personally, i really dislike brown tuxes, but you need to do what makes you happy. as mentioned in PP, black is classic and goes with everything, however I am more keen on grey or khaki than brown.

We aren't doing tuxes, but if we were we prob would have done brown. But I do love brown (and anything in earth tones) so I guess I have a biased opinion. I don't think they look dated because they are brown . . . as long as you get a nice style/cut.

IMO...I really don't like brown tuxes. Like another PP said, it totally just screams 70's to me...but hey, if you and your FI want brown tuxes, you should do it.

FWIW, I think black tuxes will go any color scheme. It's just a very classic, timeless look that will never go out of style. I wouldn't rule out black tuxes just because you don't think it goes with your color scheme. I personally think it will look perfectly fine with your colors

Take this with a grain of salt and know that I have the humor of a 10 year old boy. Isn't there some part of you that wants to call a brown tux a....turd tux? Sorry, just trying to lighten the mood! Colorwise I think black goes with everything.

I am doing the Brown Tuxes from Mens Wearhouse and think they are VERY nice looking. Our colors are all fall colors

I think that eggplant, burnt orange and brown is just too much overkill. I think that khaki would look good with this color scheme even though in general I hate khaki suits, so if it were me I would probably stick with black. If your dress is white, you could also have the guys wear black pants and a white jacket, just don't do this if your dress is ivory because it will look funny.
