Uplighting

So this post weekend we met with our venue ( The Waterview) and our event manager talked about uplighting and asked if we wanted it. I never really thought about it and I have no idea if it is really needed. What do you all think??

Re: Uplighting

  • This was one of the last things we added. After going to our venue for our tasting, I loved how the place looked w/uplighting.  Definitely no regrets. We went with simple blues that created a really elegant feel and played off the Seaport venue (nothing too crazy or club-like).  I think that if there's room in your budget, it's worth it.
  • Hi, I am a fellow Waterview bride! :)

I am having uplighting through Jason at CT Party Pros. (He did the house lighting for the Waterview.) When I met with him he showed me all of the different colors and options and I definitely think it will add to the atmosphere, give it a little something extra!

  • We absolutely LOVED our uplighting & still get compliments on it! First saw it at our venue at their bridal show....Music in Motion had done it & was loving the pink they had on display.

We ended up using them for uplighting for the day & couldn't of been happier!!

    My siggy is an example!!

  • We are doing it through our DJ, DJae Melee, and couldn't be more excited.  I think it will add an extra pop to the room.  I prefer the soft glow to set the mood, it does depend on your venue but I think most would look amazing with it.  I have found that when you are able to package it with another service the cost is more reasonable.
  • Like RIFallBride, DJae Melee is doing our uplighting for an extremely affordable price.  I think it's a nice luxury, but certainly not essential if it means sacrificing more important aspects of the budget.
