The funny thing is, I get the impression that Lady Gaga's "out there" image is really just an expression of her inner personality. She's an art school "freak." And she has the tiny body to pull all that stuff off! She's a show-woman. Madonna was intentionally trying to rile people up. I like both, but with Madonna, I think the image/business aspect was the most important part, and with Gaga I think it's really about the creativity.

I agree that gaga genuinely loves what she wears and it's about what she likes vs what will get attention. however, listen to her songs. there's a lot of madonna influence in there.

Someone local here did a Colorado Girls song, and one part was "Colorado Girls... know how to spell girls". It was amazing. I'd post it here, but I think it would be pretty meaningless to people who don't live in Colorado.
