    That is literally what my family would have done if I would have given up control! It totally reminds me of what I do NOT want and what I do NOT want to do to my kids!

    Wow. I'm so glad I didn't give in to what everyone else wanted for MY wedding. It's really important to remember that this day is about you and FI, getting married. That's it. Not about the guests, the food, the bar, the dancing. Only about two people in love starting a life together.

    This does make me kinda happy - at least after the endless mil fights I'm still ending up with the day I dreamed of - well except the church which is the single thing she's won on and only b/c I knew shed fight the hardest for it so I gave in early :)

    oh my gosh. That sounds sooo horrible! makes me appreciate the families I have that are willing to make me happy every step of the way. I cant believe that happened to her!
