Venue! I'll start- For privacy purposes I'm not going to link but I can describe it!

Its a local country club that is built adjacent to a historical site. This is the manor house. Our ceremony will be on the front lawn so I will make my entrance through the front door. For the cocktail hour, the manor house and historic gardens will be open to our guests. The reception will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the adjacent country club. Because its one of the highest points, historically used as a military lookout point, it has amazing views of the surrounding areas and off into the Blue Ridge Mountains. Two walls of the ballroom are tall windows that open up to the balcony so plenty of natural light will come in for our daytime reception, and the adjacent terrace will be open as well.

hard to tell in the pictures, but our venue is this beautiful historic factory. There are no longer windows in it, so it is open to the air and right next to this beautiful river. What you cannot see is that it is in the middle of a charming downtown with lights in the trees and a cute footbridge across the river. It is so romantic at night! Cannot wait!

Ceremony and reception are both on the boat. (Their captain can even marry you if you don't have an officiant...we have a judge who is a friend of fiance's family). Since the boat will leave the dock and cruise down the river and back during the reception, nobody will be able to leave early so we will be sure to get our money's worth LOL.

We are getting married at a local catholic church and then having our reception at the Barns at Wesleyan Hills. FI and I really love the country feel of it (I grew up on a farm) and it is perfect for us.

It's an vintage ballroom that was built in the 1920's and was actually a church up until about 7 years ago, when the current owners bought it and converted it into a ballroom (the church had moved out of the building long ago and had been sitting vacant.) It's so pretty!
