Cake Help

Hi Ladies,  I mostly post on the nest but I was wondering if you could help me.  I want to get a 3d birthday cake made but I just moved here so I don't know of any good bakeries here.  I was wondering if you could suggest some.  I live in the quincy/braintree area.  TIA!

You could try Konditer Miester, they are supposed to make really good cakes!

Also, this is random, but if you have a Costco membership, they make delicious cakes!  Seriously, we got a half sheet cake for a bridal shower to feed 50 people and it was $19.  And it was DELICIOUS!  I think they are the best deal for cakes.

    Good luck!

Here's a few to check out:

Party Favors in Brookline - not close but they do great cake design: http://www.partyfavorsbrookline.com

    Fratellis in Quincy: http://www.fratellispastryshop.com/

And I'll second Koditor Meister in Braintree -- they did our amazing wedding cake! http://www.konditormeister.com/

I tried a Konditor Meister cake yesterday. The vanilla cake was a little ho-hum, but the chocolate cake they did was super delicious! Their frosting isn't overly sweet, either, unlike supermarket bakeries.

Montilio's in Quincy has delicious cakes and desserts.  We are doing our wedding cake with them, but also get special occasion cakes and desserts there all the time.

I'm a huge fan of Lyndell's in Somerville. They're delicious and not too pricey.

Colleen is awsome, you can see her pictures, she is on the south shore.  I am using her for my rehersal Dinner Cake.  The weeding cake was included in my package

Our venue works with Cakes to Remember in Brookline.  They have some of the most beautiful cakes I've ever seen.  If you look at their gallery link online the beginning is all wedding cakes but if you keep going through you'll eventually get to the party/fun/creative cake ideas.  They are amazing!

I'm working with Amanda Oakleaf of Oakleaf Cakes (www.oakleafcakes.com) and her cakes are fantastic. She actually works with Princess Sharon events (which coordinates birthday parties for kids).

You don't have to give up quality or taste for the look.

    They both are great.
    Good luck.
