I am looking for a truly unique idea for wedding favors....I have looked at doing sparklers with personalized match books - but can't because it is a fire hazard in NV in October. I also looked at doing a candy bar, but am not really keen on doing it, because everyone else is. Does anyone have any truly unique ideas for wedding favors?
Re: Favor Help! Looking for something truly unique!
[QUOTE]Sorry, I don't have any unique ideas for you... What might help you, is if you think of things that are unique to you and your FI, and go from there. I think the best favors aren't the ones that are OUT THERE, but the ones that have some special meaning to the B and G.

I disagree. See the sticky note placed at the top of the forum.

I have read the sticky note and I disagree.
Special to the birde and groom does not have to mean OUT THERE DIFFERENT AND WACKY. Like bottles of sand from their favorite beaches, or photos of their butterfly collection.
I've seen jams and salsa's made by the bride or groom, which IMO gives the favor some character and uniquness. My FI and I share a cup of tea every night and decided to have tea and cookies as our favor. It's us. Its also edible and not so terribly unique or amazing. But again, its something that is "us."
My FI and I chose our favorite candy - york peppermint patties - and packaged those up for our guests! I did see a great wedding where they loved wine and bottled a small bottle of wine for each guest (bottles were filled with candy for non-drinkers. Make it special, but universal!

I've seen wedding favors on TK that were
- mini nests with birds in them
- ceramic pears
etc.
Just because someone says to have a favor that is unique to the bride and groom doesn't mean giving something that is a huge waste of money or useless. Try giving your favorite flavors of jelly beans. Cookies. Cookie mix in a jar. Etc. Don't go overboard, but it doesn't mean you can't be unique to yourself.

Our favors were a picture of us, with a Bible verse, our names and the date. Then we put a magnet on the back
