Re: Drinking....

  • I.P.A.

    amaretto sour

    raspberry kamikazi
  • Beer: Hmmmm either landshark or dos equis
Fav mixed drink: Whiskey sour or sour apple martini
Fav shot: I love the ones at Dave and Busters where there's a double shot of alcohol mixing.  Otherwise I'm a whisky or scotch girl.  Or rum.  Hell I just love liqueur
  • Favorite Beer?
Can't pick just one. I can pick a domestic (Budweiser), an import (Hoegaarden) and a microbrew (Abita.) Those are all my favorite.
    Favorite mixed drink?
Red bull and vodka. I'm not proud of this.
    favorite shot?
Fruity ones. Some flavored vodka, some triple sec, some kind of mixer (juice, sour, whatever.)

Favorite beer: Allagash Curieux. I have a bottle I've been aging for a year. I need to convince FI to break that bad boy out. When I'm out and about, I like Sam Adams, any kind of hefeweizen or belgian-style wheat beer. Shock Top, Blue Moon, etc. I'm a beer hoar, actually.

Favorite mixed drink: Nothing too sweet. I like real whisky sours (NOT with sour mix, with juice and egg white). I like real margaritas my FI makes. If I had to order a generic well drink, it would probably be a gin and tonic.

Favorite shot: I don't do shots, but I drink scotch and bourbon neat or on the rocks. Does that count?

  • Woodchuck Cider (if you call that beer)

    Cranberry & Malibu Coconut Rum

    Buttery Nipple
  • None.

    Also ameretto sours.

Not a huge shots fan, I tend to throw up trying to do anything straight, so it's fruity little mixed girly shots for me.
  • I'm drinking a Hoegaarden right now.  My favorite beer of the moment is New Belgium Trippel.  It changes frequently.

Favorite mixed drink is a mojito.

Favorite shot is... um... Washington Apple, maybe?  I don't do shots much anymore.

    image
  • LC- Come drink Hoegaarden with me!  I have plenty :)
    image
  • Favorite Beer? Eh, I'm sure I haven't tried my favorite yet, it would probably be a pumpkin ale but I'll have to say Michelob Ultra
Favorite mixed drink? chocolate Martini or white russian
    favorite shot?  Warm apple pie

  • Beer: Well, I really liked our last homebrew, but probably Sam Adams Boston Lager or Miller Lite (aluminum cans).
Mixed Drink: Tom Collins or Harvey Wallbanger. Stoli Vanil & Dr. Pepper. Does Jameson count even though it's just whiskey?
    Shots: Tequila, vodka, booze.
  • edited June 2010
    Beer - corona with lime

mixed drink - Malibu with pineapple

shot - I don't like shots. You might as well pour it straight into the toilet (or the floor)because that's where it will end up.

That is a GOOD question. I just got into it last year when FI and I went to Scotland. We have a kind called Monkey Shoulder, which we bought in Scotland and I have no idea where it's from, but it's really good. I also liek Caol Ila a lot. And I'll even drink Laphroaig. I get funny looks from bartenders for that. I was told that it takes a while to develop a taste for the peaty-ness of the Isla scotches and I was like, "Hmm. I think they're interesting." Almost at once! I like highland scotches too, though.

We only really got to see Edinburgh (and a little more of the lowlands) when we were in Scotland. We'd love to go back and tour the highlands and western islands, visit distilleries and drink more scotch!

I just went to a tasting last weekend and the guy who was doing it had a lot of... I can't remember the word, but they're all leftover casks that other big distilleries buy and distribute, which was interesting. And the guy is a distributor who works with the wine/liquor store we like, so hopefully I'll be trying more soon.

    Lemon drops.

  • The other nice thing about scotch is that I can nurse it for a while. And it's lower in calories than the 2-3 beers I could drink in the same amount of time!

I know!! I just thought of that.  I'm also an idiot cause I'm drinking an amazing glass of chianti while playing on the boards.

I adore champagne.  Do you prefer white or red wine??
  • Corona with lime
Malibu w/club soda (sorry, I can't do hardcore)
    lemon drop

Jameson always counts in any capacity.
  • What's weird is that I will go to wine tastings, and like them, but I'll never go to a bar and order wine. Rarely will I order wine with dinner, unless it's a really nice restaurant and we split a bottle.

I'm one of those double fisting types.  I don't always count my wine as an alcoholic drink.  So I'll order a glass of wine and then a mixed drink.  We go to wine tastings and almost had  wine theme for the wedding.

Champagne is my favorite thing ever. I mostly drink red wine, but sometimes I get in the mood for white. FI likes Reisling a lot, so that's generally what I have on hand. Plus a red, which is normally a red zin.
