Good Morning?

Re: Good Morning?

• Fupa - think of mom jeans and the bulge that insues thanks to them and too many babies. FUPA.

Visual:

• Emily, we're flying into Amsterdam and staying there I think two days. Overnight train through Germany to Copenhagen, again for a few days. Then driving over to Sweden (woot!) and spending the majority of our time there. Taking a ferry back to Denmark and going to Elsinore (I could pee I'm so excited) then driving back to Copenhagen and going home. 10 days I think. Whew!

hlq thank you my dear!
• adamar, I get protein shakes from Costco, chocolate. They have 30g protein, low carbs and fat. They took a bit of getting used to, but they taste good as far as protein shakes go.

Adamar, I've heard of people making mini frittatas in muffin shells and carry them to work. I don't eat eggs so I've never done it, but you can add all kinds of different things to keep it from being boring.
• LDY I think the visual was wholy unneccessary. But hilarious!

cengle, I know you're glad you're leaving that practice. What a crap thing to do. But yay for a week off!

I know Panda. It's so bizarre. And the only reason he told me was because I flat-out asked him about it. I had figured it out, because he's been to this other attorney's office every day, and he had a copy of his resume on my desk. And then a client asks ME about a letter he got saying this other attorney was taking over his case. Apparently none of the clients know about this yet. I'm so glad I'm getting out of here. I don't want to be associated with my boss anymore. I have a suspicion he will have several bar complaints against him before long.
• I'm kinda into giving visuals lately. Dont know why. YOU KNOW YOU LOVED IT.

May I ask a question? Why in holy hades do people call me and say "I saw on your website that your corporate apartments start at $1800 a month, do you have anything for a little cheaper? Like $700 a month?" NO! WE DONT! YOU ARE A MORON!
• Thanks cengle! That sucks about your boss. What a dbag...
• LDY, I have found that the dumber the question, the more likely people are to ask it.

I just read the thread with "foopas" mentioned. I get it now.

I wonder what makes people decide to just totally guess at how words are spelled? If I have no clue how to spell something, I'm going to look it up before I write it out on a message board.

I mean, my husband can't spell for shiit, but he's not going to use that term without either looking it up or asking me about it.

Gah, it's really irritating that we can't say shiit.

manda-that trip sounds amazing! I really have the travel itch right now...but no vaca time. ick.

cengle- FI can't spell to save his life either. I always have to proof-read his message boards posts to make sure it makes sense and he doesn't sound like a meanie.

ETA: obviously I need a proof-reader too...

• We get a lot of phone calls here from people looking for jobs because we used to be associated with a temp agency. I'm hardly ever surprised these people are unemployed. They call with the TV blaring in the background and have zero phone manners. Not so much as a "Hello, my name is..., and I'd like to speak with someone about finding work" just "Yo, I need a job". Yeah, good luck with that.

• cengle you read my mind. I am always typing words into spell check, just to be sure. Foopas. That's almost as good as noshes. Almost.

lauren I feel ya. I always have the travel bug, but I hardly get any vacation time. I'm actually not being paid for some of this trip because it was booked before I started this job and I don't have enough time off to cover it. And Mr. Panda accumulates like 6 weeks vacation a year. Jerk.
• cfasz I got a call once from someone who wanted to know what state DC was in. Heehee!
LDY -- I used to work at a call center for Virginia state parks. I can't even remember the number of times people called me and asked for reservations at North Carolina state parks. And they got quite upset when I informed them that North Carolina and Virginia are not, in fact, the same state/ Cengle -- My husband is a horrible speller. It amazes me how smart he is and that he can't spell for shiiiiiiit.
Posted by cfaszews25
Yup. H is extremely intelligent, but is an awful speller. Right now, we have a little magnetic marker board on our refrigerator for grocery lists. He wrote "spaghetti" and "sauce" on the list, and both are spelled incorrectly. I didn't have the heart to tell him though, since no one will see it but us. He gets embarrassed.
• Manda, that sounds awesome! I can't wait to hear all about it.

Lauren, who is that horse in your sig? I'm assuming some famous racehorse.

LDY, I meant to ask, is the flooding affecting you guys at all? I saw it on the news this morning. You southern states really can't catch a break lately.
• When FI and I first started dating, he was talking about getting new window blinds. He said he wanted the fox wood ones. I couldn't figure out what he was talking about. Then he showed me the package: faux wood.
In Response to Re: Good Morning? : I would have told them Pennsylvania. I was also informed by another caller that I was a moron because OF COURSE Gettysburg was in Virginia because all the battles of the CIvil War were fought in Virginia and I was just being rude by not making him a reservation there.

How did you respond? I think I would have laughed so hard I peed my pants.

• Ugh everyone knows Gettysburgh is in WEST Virginia, and that almost all civil war battles were fought in California. Duh.

Seriously though, poor South Carolina got totally left out of that person's delusion. And I have some friends who live on Secessionville Road who'd be might displeased by that. (No really. Secessionville Road. It's on James Island in Charleston county. Really.)
• Aww you're sweet, Emily. It's not affecting us just yet. But it's affecting about 40 miles west of us in Vicksburg and we're getting an influx of those folks coming to Jackson. We DO have a river about a mile behind our house though, so if the MS feeds into it too much I might start getting worried, however, I'm sure we're fine.

I was actually thinking of YOU last night! I was watching HH and my SIL's friend popped up on the screen. I totally forgot that she had done HH back in 2009! So now I have two folks I know who've been on HGTV lookin for houses =)
• I used to work at AAA so I got some crazy people questions...
one lady asked if she could take a FERRY from Maine to Australia....um...no...you can not do that.
Also, people who have "heard" that you can drive across the Grand Canyon. Nope.

Emily-there are a bunch of those iron horses in a park downtown positioned to look like they are racing. It's pretty cool but no specific famous one.

Cengle-somehow I got you and Birdie confused when I was talking about the FI spelling difficulties *face palm*

• Late to the party...
I've been married for like five months, and I still have wedding nightmares. I pretty much blame you guys.

And Todd didn't want to look like James Bond in his tux. He wanted to look like Voldemort. Apparently I married the weird exception to the rule. His only disappointment in eloping was that an all black tux would have been weird for a morning wedding in a used book store.
• Mel you can never be late to the party. You ARE the party.

So your husband wanted to look like Voldemort on your wedding day, but you blame US for your wedding nightmares?

I make mini-quiches in muffin tins. Usually 2-3 are a great breakfast or high-protein snack.

Just take a quiche recipe and put it into a muffin tin to bake.
