Invitation wording

Hi ladies! I'm ordering my invites early since I have a groupon and my mom seems to think that I need to put something on the reply card asking guests if they plan on attending both the ceremony and reception or one or the other. I think if someone's schedule only allows for one, it's their responsibilty to let the host know. I mean, I just don't think 1) we'll have anyone do that and 2) there's a good way to ask.

Re: Invitation wording

  • usually a yes or no is only required for the reception since there is a cost involved.
  • I wouldn't include what your Mom is suggesting.  Either people will come to the whole thing or will decline the invite if they have something already planned that day.

  • Thanks, ladies! I really thought it was a non-issue. I don't think it's worth putting on the response card. If someone doesn't show, I'd be irritated I paid for their dinner, but I understand it's all part of the planning.
