August 2012 Weddings

intro.

Hi!
We are getting married August 17th of this year. We have been engaged for a little over a year, and this past april we went to look at a venue and they had a few dates open this summer so we just decided to go ahead and book! Since we dont have a lot of time we are have a small wedding, just about 25 people. But i still feel stressed with everything i need to do, like booking ppl etc. Expecially since we are getting married in the middle of wedding season so a lot of ppl are booked!
So anyway, hello!

Im wonder what everyone has left to do on the check list.
Does anyone have  like a master generic checklist I could see?
Thanks!!

Re: intro.

  • I found The Knot's checklist to be really helpful. Its very detailed and gives a good idea of all of the little things that need to be done. You can also add to the list or delete ones that don't apply. Good luck and welcome!
  • Congrats! PP is right, the knot's checklist is pretty good.
  • Congratulations and welcome!!  I agree with PPs, The Knot's checklist has been amazingly helpful, but it can seem overwhelming at first.  I suggest looking at it a few times so it doesn't make you go "OMG how am I going to get all of this done".  Just keep breathing and you will get through it :)

Good luck and happy planning!! :)

  • Yay!  August 17th here, too!  The Knot has a good checklist, but I've also been using ones from different sources (some have info that others don't).  If you buy a couple different bridal magazines there are usually planners in each issue with good reminders!  Good luck!
  • August 17th here too!  I find I mostly use TK's checklist, but I did buy a wedding binder at Books-A-Million (thinks Borders), but haven't really used it because the computer is so much easier.
