Size of OOT bags

I want to use reusable totes for my OOT snack bags, rather than a paper bag or gable box.

Which one of these would you choose? I think that the second option (the 12x8x12" with the shoulder strap) is closest to a regular grocery tote ... would you like that as a guest?

Also, MGs, how many bags did you make (and please also include how many guests you invited in total)? I'll order these later on once I figure out who's getting a room for the night, and of course I know it depends on where everyone's guests are coming from, but I just wanted to get a rough idea since the board is slow. We're expecting maybe 130-150 people in total, so I'm wondering if I should order 25 bags or 50 bags.

I would get the size that best holds what you plan on putting in the bags. I would imagine the 12x8x12 would fit a good amount of stuff.
I would order 50. If you have too many you can use them as gift bags instead of wrapping paper in the future and you dont want to end up with too few.

I would order the smaller of the bags.  I am assuming you will put the basics in and maybe one or two extra things.  A large grocery size bag would look empty IMO. Like you werent giving anything but a bag and 1 or two things, when it reality you are giving the exact amount you would have if you were using a paper gift bag.

Agree with PP definitely go for the smaller bag.  If you are doing 2 bottles of water, some snacks, and advil that will not fill up a really big bag.

How many of your guests are OOT?  And how many are your friends who you think will stay over?  We did 14 bags because almost everyone (140 attended) was local.

We used canvas bags, and picked a larger size than we needed because we figured that would make them more reusable.  We stuffed them with tissue paper (maybe defeats the eco-friendly purpose?  oh well).

We made one bag per single person, and one bag (with twice as much stuff) for each couple.  We put nametags on them so the hotel knew how to allocate them (as it was a confusing system).  How many you get depends on how many guests will be from out of town.

I second the larger bag.  I love the idea of a reusable bag, but don't know what I would do with a smaller one if it was given to me.

I would like a reusable bag. great idea.

We had a lot of OOT guests.  We ended up with around 170 at the wedding (invited close to 250, probably more at this point).  For the 170, I made 50 bags and they were all gone.
