    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    I'll be at work in about an hour. A pipe burst in the ceiling of the Accounts Payable office on Saturday, so we will have to recover from that.. and the students come back today, so I anticipate a line out my door begging for mercy on payment deadlines (which were last week). Oh, its going to be a great one!

    Oh, and I heard y'all were getting a heat wave in MN. My aunt in Faribault emailed us and said they got out of the negatives yesterday and got all the way to positive 5 degrees! That makes me feel like a wimp for wearing gloves to my workout this morning when it was 27.

    Morning!  I am trying to find the postive in everything today...such as, it blows that it's Monday, but, this is my last full week of work and then next week I go on a business trip to San Francisco.  Hopefully this caffeine-induced positivity does not wear off.

    Good morning!  Yeah, they installed some fixes on the Knot to make it run faster in IE and it broke everything.  So I would expect it to be messed up today.

    And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now.     My director who has been on maternity leave is coming back today.  So not excited for that.  Hopefully the wonky errors will be less of an issue today.  You know, a woman can only take so much.

    Good morning all!  Yeah, so far this Monday kind of blows with the errors and me leaving my EZ Pass in FI's car which I need for my commute to work.  Good times.

    How was everyone's weekend?  We went to a friend's house for the football games Saturday night and I met the.loudest.girl.EVER.  I hope we never have to hang out with that couple again.

    Good morning ladies! 

    Can I say that I admire and respect all you ladies that live in normally "cold" areas?  I woke up to 32 degrees this morning and I can't take it anymore.  I'm miserable, can't feel my fingers, and my one-week supply of chilly-weather clothes is just not doing the trick here. 

    I'd tip my hat to you but I don't wanna take it off.  Even my hair is cold.

    I'm doing well--am in a great mood for some reason. Although I have a bunch if stuff to do for work this week, which will interfere (gasp) with my knotting. The nerve of some people.

    T1- I was thinking the same exact thing.

    I never thought I'd say this but I miss the humidity. I can deal with the heat and humidity over this cold any day.

    Morning.  That weekend went by way too fast and I'm really not prepared for 5 days of work.  Maybe I'll find a sick person to sick next to on the subway ride home tonight so I can skip a couple days.

    Mornin'. This will be the first of many LONG weeks. I have work Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri, and Sat and school Mon, Wed, Thurs. I'm gonna miss my naps :(  Full time work and full time school sux monkeyballs. Only two more years... then (hopefully) more school. I pay a lot to torture myself like this.

    It's 30 here. My body doesn't compute.

    Looking forward to the weekend. My cousin's husband's birthday "party" is Saturday and we're doing a brewery tour and then having dinner and possibly bar-hopping with them and about ten other people. Should be fun.

    YES!  After experiencing this, you'd have to drag me kicking and screaming to a colder climate.  I've always said I prefer the heat, and now I know why.  We had the power go out Sunday morning because the circuits in our area overloaded - too many people turning on the heat and using space heaters.

    Good morning everyone!  I get to leave work at lunchtime to get ready for my hair and makeup trial and dress fitting this afternoon, so I can't complain too much.  Although I did have a really hard time with FI leaving yesterday even though I'll be seeing him on Friday in Vegas.  I also drank way too much on Saturday night and had a terribly unproductive weekend so I am feeling some residual guilt over that.
