Hi Girls, Sorry it took me so long to get this together! We really did not have any ugly/bad, so I mostly put together a list of what was good/great!
Ugly – None!
Bad – I don’t really know that this classifies as ‘bad’, I just think that maybe I would have come up with a better plan to distribute the welcome bags! We gave a big portion of the stuff to Brian’s uncle who was driving down and was supposed to arrive Thursday morning but did not end up arriving until Thursday afternoon. So we had to quick throw the bags together and bring them down to the pool where everyone was hanging out. I am not sure that everyone got one since we had several left over.
Good – Everything went better than I could have expected! I really do not think that there was one thing that I would have changed! Here are a few of our favorite vendors!
*Our Day of Wedding Coordinator (Simply You Weddings) was probably the best ‘extra’ that we did! She was awesome and made sure that everything ran so smoothly! It was so nice to have a contact person for all the vendors when they arrived at the resort. I did not receive one phone call that day from anyone needing anything – it was great!
*Venue (Ocean Key Resort)– We got married by the resort pool overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and then had the reception out on the pier over top of the water! It was absolutely beautiful! We could not have asked for a more perfect weather day for that setting!! The food and drink at the reception were amazing! Our coordinator from the resort was awesome, she checked on us several times throughout the night (without being intrusive) to make sure that everyone was going well and to see if there was anything we needed).
*Florist (Milan Events) – The flowers were amazing and exactly what I had envisioned when I described my ideas to him!
*Photog (JHunter Photography) – They were great! A husband and wife team who worked really well together! They did a great job of getting the pictures we wanted and in a timely manner so that the wedding party was not just standing around waiting for too long!
*Junkanoos – We had a Caribbean Junkanoo Band come at the end of the reception and escort our guests down Duval Street to the next party spot! It was so much fun! It was a surprise for our guests and they all loved it! Everyone was watching us as we paraded down the street and had many people join in on the party – so fun!
*Hair/Make-Up (Studio Marie-Pierre) - Marie Pierre and one of her assistants came to the suite at the resort to do hair and make up for the bridal party! We had such a great time with them. Marie-Pierre is fun to chat with!! They both did an amazing job and all the girls looked great!
*Welcome Dinner (A&B Lobster House) – DH’s dad hosted a welcome dinner for all of the wedding guests the night before and it was a great time! Both the food and service were fantastic! Our guests all loved it and had a great time!
