  Yeah I would do a trial with both and then make a decision based off of those trials.

  Trial first, then make a decision. From my perspective, your friend sounds like a good choice. Her prices are usually higher, which means she's probably high quality, you get what you pay for, and not to mention she's super sweet for giving such a giant discount. That'd be enough for me to hire her, friend or not.

  Is she doing just yours or everyone? My only worry would be that since she's a bridesmaid she might be busy getting ready with you. I agree with the trials though.

  I think it depends.  For me, I wouldn't mess with the friend thing because I get way too worried about hurting people's feelings, and I'd end up hiring her even if I liked the other person better, just to not ruffle feathers.  If you can be honest with her and it won't hurt your friendship, go for the trial.

  I'd skip using a friend because I wouldn't say anything if I didn't like it and then I'd be pissed.  She also might just want to relax with you and get ready that day.
