Re: Here is a list of venues that allow byob and open catering
Summit Manor allows BYOB, but not outside catering.
With the Historic Courthouse, it depends on what you call BYOB. Yes, they let the couple buy and bring in their own alcohol. But no, they won't allow you to ask your guests to BYOB. But then again, I'm not sure any venue would want you to handle liquor tailgating-style. I don't think any amount of liability insurance would make that a good idea!
And IMHO, I wouldn't really call their policies "very strict." No hard liquor, no kegs. That's pretty much it. Oh, and you have to have someone serving... but it doesn't have to be a licensed bartender or even paid staff. Yeah, it's restrictive... but I've seen way worse. But then again, much of my family lives in the Bible belt, where you're lucky if they even allow champagne for toasting.

[QUOTE]Just use Bellagala's venue finder: http://www.bellagala.com/vendorfetch/ You can search on both of those things. No need to maintain a separate list...

I didn't mean to imply that you were demeaning the venue, I just don't want someone to decide against a great venue for reasons that aren't entirely accurate.

[QUOTE]My contract said 3 alcoholic drinks per person, oh well, I guess I will have to look that over tonight...

Maybe is correct....I believe in the past they may have imposed that restriction, but in their most updated contracts it advises 3 drinks/person for planning purposes only
Planning Bio-Added FOR SALE page, will be adding more stuff to it soon!
