  i had EVERY intention of jumping the broom, however, the airport authorities in the DR said that my broom was agriculture and they didn't let me take it to the airport or even mail it home, so i had to take off the decorations and they destroyed my broom   however, since we're having a reception up here in 2 weeks, we may jump the broom and do our unity sand there
