  I always thought it was:
  Mr. and Mrs. John Doe
  Man's name goes first

  Mr. and Mrs. John Doe
  BUT, if you want to include the woman's first name, you could do:
  Mrs. Jane and Mr. John Doe
  The man's first and last name should not be separated.
  
  However, if you aren't doing it formally or they have different last names, ladies first, so
  Ms. Jane Smith and Mr. John Doe
  
  Or you could make it easy and do Jane and John Doe
  
  So many choices! Keep in mind only brides will notice

  Yes, I will definitely be including the woman's name.  I think it is crazy that the ettiquette hasn't been updated to reflect that.

  Noodle, I tend to agree with you on the woman's name. However, I'm taking the easy way out and doing Mr. and Mrs. People can't get offended if I'm just following that.
  
  Also, once I'm married I think I will totally get a kick out of it!
