Hotels

Hi Ladies!

I was looking to see if I could get some of your thoughts. Since we are getting married in the Lakes Region, we were told to secure hotel rooms as early as possible due to the peak foliage season.

Other than the hotel we are getting married at, I was looking at reserving a block of rooms at another nearby hotel to offer to guests-however most of the hotels nearby require a 2 night minimum.

Do you think I should just include a list of nearby hotels for people to choose from when I send the Save the dates rather than offer just 1 other hotel where i've blocked off some rooms.

What have some of you done?

Thanks in advance!! :)

We found that a lot of people booked the two nights as they were from OOT. We had a few people book the hotel right off the highway in Ashland, and others book in Tilton. We didn't block at either place, but you know your guests best! Those that booked in Ashland and Tilton were those that had DDs and/or those who didn't want to spend the money at the Mill Falls properties.

Our wedding is in the Monadnock Region and we only blocked off rooms at one hotel (in Keene).  However, several of our out of town guests are familiar with the area and have said that they would prefer to use some of the local Bed & Breakfast Inns around the area instead of the hotel, which is fine.
