We just need the basic package. I can edit the footage and create the videos myself so no need to pay another 200-300 for that :)
I love that we get ALL the raw footage - I can do so much with it!!

  • I'm so close to doing the same!

  • I am so impressed with the level of customer service already. They have been in contact with me several times since yesterday to answer my questions and concerns. I've read so many great reviews about wedit too; it's an awesome alternative for someone like us who rather spend $$ on photography but still want some aspects recorded. And I'm really excited for each of us to do a pre-wedding video to each other; should be interesting :)

Their email sign-up button wasn't working so I sent in a little note about it in their Contact Us section and had a response from Brett in like 10 minutes. I'm already a big fan of the level of service. Google searches poip up a few similar businesses, but I already trust and like Wedit!

  • I also like how the video comes out to be like a home video! It gives it a warm intimate feeling! What software do you use to edit videos?
  • I am doing the full package... its less than the budget we had for a videographer so FI and I are happy with the price :)
    Just booked! Yay!

I use iMovie on my Mac. I made a beautiful DVD for my family for my son's 5th bday with pics and video clips from age 0-5. It looked so professional and i'm so not! lol

YAY britt! The prices are super great!!

Are you guys planning to get a videographer? I feel like if I could afford a professional, I'd be underwhelmed by Wedit too, but that got dumped from our budget long long ago (because we both wanted a super nice photog who ended up being well over budget). I figure if it's Wedit or nothing, Wedit looks amazing.

<div>We looked into videographers a little bit when we were looking for photographers and decided that for the cost, we'd rather just get a really great photographer and skip the videographer. I think he just either wants high-quality video or nothing at all, like there's no in-between for him. Even though he was the one who initially suggested having a relative record the ceremony.</div>

I'm like you're FI, if something is going to look ameture, I'd rather have someone do it for free than pay for a service. Even if it's a lot cheaper than budgeted.

  • We hadn't budgeted for video because we figured having amazing photos were enough. But then we decided to do a choreographed dance and a few other special moments during the day that would be great to capture; just to have proof lol

We don't need something spectacular or professional, and we happen to like the fact that it looks homemade. The professional videos wouldn't capture a lot of the footage we'd get with these, and those are the moments I want to have on video. And seeing as I could edit them the way I want to and make our own videos out of it, it's a better option. I wouldn't want to ask one family member to do all that for the day and what if something went wrong with the camera? At least with 5, there will be a back up :)

It's all in personal preference too. I know I would rather have something "amateur" than nothing at all; but maybe that's because I appreciate the value of something homemade and personal. I love that all the footage taken that day will be by people I know and love; people who are sharing this special day with me.
