[QUOTE]Daff, have you tried cetaphil?  I think that stuff worked pretty well for me when I would get bad breakouts.

I haven't - I'm not familiar with it, but am willing to try anything. Is there a specific product?
  • Hello all- I just got back from the gym. It just started to snow here.

I started watching Perfect Couples which is pretty funny if you watch it from the very beginning. Work has seriously been crimping in on my knot career.

<div>TK keeps eating my posts, but I will try this again... I use a prescribed topical antibiotic for acne (Clindamycin). It works really well and I only have to use it when my acne is bad. </div>
  • Hi Spa - feel like junk punching anyone at work today?  If not, it was a good day :)
  • I love HIMYM.  This season is a little lacking, and they need to stop having Robin wear such hideous clothes.  I haven't watched last night's episode yet though.

Daff- I love proactiv.  I have always been really lucky with my skin, but I know a lot of people who swear by the whole system.  I buy their refining mask to use as a spot treatment though and it works really well.  Also, this my sound dumb, but have you ever tried putting toothpaste on them?  I've never rubbed it all over my face (if yours is spread, I'm not sure) but I've used it as a spot treatment and it does really well to dry them out and shrink them.

  • DnB, I think Robin looks manly this season. Maybe it's her awful hairstyle.

We've switched to TBBT now. Much more entertaining than Idol.

Jill, I hope you can figure something out. My brother used Proactive, I think it's calls? And it worked really well for him.

<div>Hahaha not recently. I had to go to the doctors b/c I got nipped by one of the strays I took in over the weekend and had to go to the doctors for tests/shot... so they were making fun of me at work for having rabies. </div><div>
</div><div>I told them don't worry if I had rabies I wouldn't have the urge to bite any of you, I am not even sure you shower regularly.  </div>

I was just reading about the toothpaste on the internets, but there seems to be conflicting information as to whether it works or makes things worse, so i'm not sure whether to try it.

I have Proactiv stuff, but their spot treatment has never worked for me. I haven't tried the refining mask, but have it - that works for spot treatments?

To clarify, there are 2 really bad spots, it's not all over.

  • Hey everyone.

I don't have any homework so I'm working on my place card board. It's suchhh a PITA.

<div>Hahaha... Love the come back :)</div>
  • Evening all,  two more days, just two more days.  Then it is SISTER FEST in Minnesota.  Woot, Woot.  Mall of America here we come.

  • Daff,  I don't have any skin care suggestions, per se, but have you switched laundry detergents lately?  That could be causing the flare up.  If you haven't since the flare up started, I'd throw the sheets and towels in the wash so that your clean skin isn't rubbing up against them when you go to bed at night.
  • Yeah Daff, i just went to double check and it's the refining mask I use.  It's a thick cream, so I just kind of put a thick spot over the problem area, and I definitely notice a difference as soon as the next day, sometimes drastically.  If you wash with proactiv at night, do all 3 steps then put the mask on problem areas after.  I don't really even know why they call it a "mask" since in the commercial they say for problem areas too.

  • No detergent change. I've been known to break out at certain times of the month, but have been doing a pretty good job of keeping it at bay until a few days ago. And this isn't even the right time of the month for it, so it's weird. I'll try switching out the sheets and stuff, can't hurt. But in the meantime I've got these open sores I don't know what to do with. I wish there was a sock or a hat for the face.
  • dnb - thanks, I'm going to try the refining mask!
  • Hi all.

We're watching NCIS and eating waffles because I forgot to thaw out anything else for dinner.
  • Daff, I consider myself VERY lucky that I've never had those kind of skin issues, so I can't offer anything except sympathy.

I am a bit at loose ends right now, since I havr no papers to grade (until next week), and I can't work on my "quilt" since I have to use my mom's sewing machine to quilt it. I say "quilt" since it isn't actually going to be a quilt but a duvet cover, but I'm still quilting the top to a piece of muslin just for the effect.

  • Waffles for dinner sound delicious.

Hi everyone!  I need to write my paper for class and I'm putting it off (we have a one-page paper due every Wednesay morning by 9 AM -- I have to do it tonight because the chances of my being coherant enough to write a paper tomorrow morning are...slim to none).

Sorry about your skin, Daff :(  Mine was being ridiculous back in December.  I ended up just using water on my face and moisturizing.  H had a really bad acne breakout a few weeks ago and started using Neutrogena acne wash, and it cleared up nicely with no bad eruptions since.  I hope yours clears up soon.

  • They were pretty good... and easy to make which is a plus.
  • I can't do this, TK sucks royally.  A group of 6 year olds could run the IT area better than the current bunch of monkeys.  (No offense meant to the 6 year olds)  I am out of here.  Night all.

  • Okay, so I read ski's post to be "TK sucks royalty" and my first thought was, "Which one? Surely not Charles, because he's old and buttugly." I'm outta here. Apparently I need sleep. Or glasses.
  • This is so annoying. KK said on the mods board today it should subside in the next two weeks because they are moving TB and TN to the same platform/format as TK. So lets hope that really is the end.

  • My computer crashed and isn't restarting. (I'm on my iPad.). I cannot deal with a broken computer on top of everything else that I'm doing in the house. And now TK is sucking. Crap.
  • I don't post much but I'm jumping in because I'm bored. I found that proactive works for me but I only put it directly on the breakout, otherwise it dries out my skin too much. I'm bored and bummed tonight. My wedding is next week and FI had to go two states away because his grandmother just passed away. I sound like a selfish brat, but it's stressing me out.
  • Okay, placecard board is going in the trash even though I spent $50 on supplies. Januarybride made it look way too easy. I am just not a DIYer..I don't know what I was thinking.
  • I don't think I could be a DIYer for WR stuff either. Which is weird because I love to do crafts.
